The aim of this study was to Identifying the Consequences of Media Transparency in Iran. For this purpose, 48 members of managers, researchers and activists of media, communication, sociology and law were selected by qualitative content analysis method. Findings was included 19 themes: “ Promoting the culture of accountability” , “ Promoting the social capital of the government” , “ Increasing the rule of law” , “ Promoting the indicators of cultural development” , “ Promoting the indicators of social development” , “ Creating sustainable economic prosperity” , “ Achieving a sustainable environment” , “ Achieving society” , “ Sustainable” , “ Prevention and Fight against Corruption and Crime” , “ Development of Civil Society” , “ Increasing Government Efficiency” , “ Establishing Effective Laws” , “ Achieving Good Governance” , “ Public Transparency and Eliminating Information Rent” , “ Achieving Smart Government” . Findings showed that media transparency makes people, officials and governments fully aware of their roles, duties and actions, responsibility and accountability.
