The aim of present research was to investigate the role of perfectionism and experiencial avoidance in predicting psychological symptoms of poor female-headed household. This prospective study was performed using Pearson correlation.90questions to gather information from the checklist (SCL-90), perfectionism and questionnaires reception and operation. As well as data collected using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were analyzed. The correlation coefficients showed that psychological symptoms ofperfectionism (0.51=r, p<0.001) and experiential avoidance (0.65=r, p<0.001), positive relationship.Regression analysis showed that48 percent of the total variance of psychological symptoms people through experiential avoidance and perfectionism is explained by two factors. Methodology of the study is quasi-experimental and its pattern is pretest-posttest a group.30 women with minor and mild depression were selected on the cutoff point at the Beck depression inventor (grade: 10-14) and inclusion criteria (minimum education diploma, female gender, interest in music) withthe purposeful sampling and formed the experimental group of thestudy. Then 16 music therapy sessions were accomplished on them. Data collection tools was including long form of Beck depression inventory (BDI), short form of quality of life scale (SF36) and Oxford happiness inventory (OHI), that was accomplished with the method of pretest-posttest. The data was analyzed with Kolmogorov–Smirnov test for normalityand finally the data was analyzed using two sample t-test analysis. The results showed that there are a significant difference between the data obtained from depression, happiness and quality of life of women suffering from depression, before and after music therapy. Also, the effect of this intervention to improve the quality of life was more than happiness.Research findings indicate that music therapy as a low-cost and accessible method, can be applied as an appropriate method to increase happiness, improve the quality of life and reduce depression in women with depression.

Personality disorders are considered as inflexible and incompatible styles in relation to the environment. Individuals with these types of disorders, in spite of their warmth and friendly look , are prone to commit illegal and criminal activities. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the status of personality disorders in prisoners. To this end, 182 male prisoners confined in Lorestan Central Prison, were randomly selected and evaluated using Milon 3 (MCMI-111) questionnaire. Then, datagathered from Milon 3 questionnaire was evaluated in Milon 3 application in order to determine the Br score. To analyze the data, One-way ANOVA and Independent–Samples t-test were applied. The findings indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between individuals with different crimes in drug addiction personality with 99% confidence, antisocial personality disorder and Sadistic personality with 95% confidence level. The findings also showed that antisocial personality disorder, drug addiction and avoidant personality disorder were mostly found in thieves. Moreover, in comparing personality disorders among individuals with different incarceration rates, only depression personality disorder in the studied groups was found to be statistically significant with 95% confidence level.Furthermore, the results of the Independent–Samples t-test which compared personality disorders in single and married individuals showed that Sadistic personality disorders and depression, with 95% confidence level, were more significant in single than married prisoners.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was prediction obsessive beliefs in women based on attachment styles and defensive mechanisms. The method of this study is descriptive correlational. The sample consisted of all women in Tehran that 300 of them were selected by using multi-stage cluster sampling, and each of them completed questionnaires of attachment, defense mechanisms and obsessive beliefs. Results showed that the secure attachment style has a meaningful negative correlation with obsessive beliefs. Also there is a meaningful and positive correlation with obsessive beliefs between anxious insecure attachment style and immature defense mechanisms and neuroticism and that the secure attachment style andanxious insecure attachment style and immature defense mechanisms and neuroticism are able to predict obsessive beliefs. So it can be concluded that secure and insecure internal working models that form within the framework of attachment relationships of Mother-Neonate, can provide setting for advent and persistence of vulnerabilities through establishment of unsafe internal working models. Thus reducing the use of immature styles and neuroticism can be an important step toward improving mental health of people.

Abstract:

Stress and anxiety have a reciprocal relationship to infertility, the high level of stress decreases the chance of fertility, and infertility reduce the chance of successful treatment, because it is very stressful and uncomfortable. The infertility effects many mental stresses on person, so we must to reduce its effects such as stress, anxiety, and depression, and raise the chances of successful treatment. With respect to DASS-21 questionnaire, The among of the women who referred to Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility clinic, 30 people who had moderate to severe depression, anxiety and stress randomly were selected and randomly assigned to two 15 experimental and control group. The experimental group did this technique once in day for two months in 20-30 minutes. During this period, the control group received no intervention. Subjects were assessed again after receiving therapy. Data was analyzed through inferential statistics and SPSS software. The results showed that the experimental intervention had a significant impact on the three variables (P<0.001) but the intervention had more effect on anxiety than other variables. This method can be used as an effective treatment for depression, anxiety and stress in infertile women employed.
