Abstract: 

Procrastination is one of the most common behaviors among individuals, including students, which leads to several psychological and physical damages. Hence it needs attention and treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Morita therapy and Art therapy on students’,academic procrastination. The research design was a clinical trial with a control group. The statistical population consisted of all female students in psychology and education sciences at Payam Noor University in the first semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. For this purpose, 40 students were selected by the implementation of the Academic Procrastination Questionnaire (Savari, 1390) and were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received Morita-Art therapy in eight two-hour sessions over two months based on the Williams-Patterson (2012) protocol. Analysis of MANCOVA demonstrated that the experimental group had a significant decline in academic procrastination (p=. 020). Moreover, the results of the univariate analysis showed that Morita-Art therapy had a significant effect on components of Academic Procrastination (intentional, due to physical and mental fatigue, due to lack of planning) (p<. 05). Based on the results of the research, it seems that Morita-Art therapy is a suitable procedure to reduce academic procrastination.

Abstract: 

Today, parental monitoring is one of the skills of parents to care for adolescents to transition from this stage of development. So far, various tools have been developed to measure parental monitoring skills that do not consist of all aspects of parental monitoring. Therefore, the present study was conducted to design and validate a parental monitoring questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed to measure parental monitoring based on five dimensions: information, supervision, communication, concern and acceptance. The research population includes all parents of female high school students from 2019-2020. The researcher-made questionnaire was performed on 300 parents (233 females and 67 males). Data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and Pearson correlation coefficient. Findings show acceptable reliability of five dimensions (0. 88-0. 87) and the whole questionnaire (90. 3). To determine the concurrent validity of the parental monitoring questionnaire were used from two parental conflict questionnaires to assess divergent validity and the parenting styles questionnaire to assess convergent validity. Findings indicate the validity of the criterion of the parental monitoring questionnaire. Whit considering the importance of parental monitoring as an important skill in the process of raising children can be used from made questionnaire to assess the dimensions of this parenting skill and consequently to provide feedback.

Abstract: 

Job insecurity and Socio-Economic Status (SES) can lead to the problems such as reduction of the quality of work, physical and mental illness, fatigue, & sleep disorders. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship of job insecurity & SES with sleep quality with mediating of rumination & moderating of resilience, social support, & job control. The sample of study was 259 employees who were selected using stratified random sampling. For collecting data were used job insecurity (Hellgren et al, 1999), SES (Ghodratnama, 2013), Pittsburgh sleep quality (Buysse et al, 1989), rominative responses (Nolen-Hoeksema & Morrow, 1991), resilience (Connor-Davidson, 2003), social support (Wax et al, 1986), & job control (Adibi et al, 2011) questionnaires, & for analyzing data, were used structural equation modeling & hierarchical regression analysis (SPSS-24 & AMOS-24). The results indicated that rumination mediates the relation between job insecurity & sleep quality (p<0. 05), resilience moderates the relation between rumination & sleep quality (p<0. 01), & also, social support (p<0. 01) & job control (p<0. 05) moderate the relation between SES & sleep quality. Workplace conditions can affect employees’,sleep quality, therefore, it is recommended to managers that through increasing employees’,resilience & social support, & providing opportunity to control over job, provide context for reducing the negative effects of job insecurity, rumination, & unfavorable SES on employees’,sleep quality.

Abstract: 

Digital Technology Transformation shapes business transformation in all dimensions. One of the most important dimensions that Digital Technology Transformation influence is Human capital and human capital strategies. This research is designed to make Human Capital Strategies Model based on digital technology transformation. The statistical universe contains 4500 experts, supervisors and managers of Iran Telecommunication Company and 354 professionals as a sample in 8 Telecommunication Province For this aim, we used a mixed approach pattern that in the Section of quality research apply Grounded Theory for design research model and also in the quantity section apply statistical analysis that uses for model testing. Research model designed based on Strauss and Corbin paradigm model. For testing the model in the quantity section we used structural equation and confirmatory factor analysis. Human Capital Strategies Model with six dimensions is designed. Also shaping 11 Human capital strategies Based on Digital Technology Transformation. All of the hypothesis is accepted. In the end, modeling results show that Digital Technology, Organizational goals and strategies and Top Managers' commitment have a high influence on designing and implementing Human capital strategies also on Cognitive, Behavioral and Performance Consequences in the personal, group, and organizational levels. This research shows that the nature of Human capital strategies are changed and needs innovational strategies. We present these strategies.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Captain's Log Cognitive Rehabilitation Program on Visual Working Memory and Fluid Reasoning of Students. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest, follow-up, and control group. The research population consisted of 8-12-year-old students in the 2019-2020 academic year. 30 students were selected by the available sampling method, were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (n=15). Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fifth Ed. (2014) (WISC-V) was used for collecting data. Eight 30-minute sessions were performed individually on experimental group members while the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were analyzed using SPSS23 and repeated measures analysis of variance. Findings indicated a significant difference among posttest scores of the two groups (P<0. 05). Results also remained constant after one-month follow-up stage. According to the results, it can be concluded that Captain’, s Log program might be an effective intervention to improve visual working memory and fluid reasoning.

Abstract: 

Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is associated with problems such as failure in executive dysfunctions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of child mindfulness therapy on the main symptoms and executive dysfunctions of children with ADHD. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test, and follow-up design with the control group. The population of this study consisted of all girls aged 6 to 12 years with ADHD in Mashhad. In this study, 38 girls with ADHD were Selected from normal schools though multi-stage cluster sampling and were randomly assigned to experimental (n = 19) and control (n = 19) groups. Data were collected using the SNAP rating scale (Swanson et al., 1980) and the Deficits in Executive Functioning Scale-Children and Adolescents (Barclay, 2012). For the experimental group, the child's mindfulness therapy was performed in eight sessions and the control group did not receive any intervention during the study. The results showed that training the child mindfulness reduced ADHD scores and executive dysfunctions in post-test and follow-up (p<0. 001). Based on the results, it is recommended to use the child mindfulness training to reduce the ADHD symptoms and executive dysfunctions in children with ADHD.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationships between the dimensions of temperament, disgust sensitivity and obsessive-compulsive disorder using structural equation modeling. It is assumed that the dimensions of temperament and the disgust sensitivity in interacting with each other lead to obsessive-compulsive disorder. Despite the importance of this model, not enough research has been done to evaluate it empirically. A descriptive-correlational method was used in the current study, and 377 students of Urmia University were selected using cluster sampling. They answered the Cloninger temperament questionnaire, the Disgust Sensitivity Scale and the revised obsessive-compulsive disorder questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling. SPSS and AMOS software were used to classify, process, analyze the data and test the research hypotheses. Evaluation of the hypothetical model of the research using fitness indicators showed that the hypothetical model fits with the measurement model (CFI=0. 96, RFIEA=0. 91, NFI=0. 07). The results showed that the dimensions of temperament with the mediation of disgust sensitivity have a significant effect on obsessive-compulsive disorder at the level of P <0. 05. The research findings along with supporting the hypothetical model for obsessive-compulsive disorder show a suitable model for the etiology of this disorder. Accordingly, the dimensions of temperament, mediated by disgust sensitivity, lead to an increase in the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of online existential psychotherapy on attitudes toward life and death-related Perplexities in in Recovered Patients of COVID-19. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test, post-test and control groups. The statistical population in this study included all recovered patients of COVID-19 in 2020 in Urmia, Iran. A sample of 30 people was selected by convenience sampling method and placed in experimental and control groups (N = 15 each). The experimental group received ten 90-minute sessions of online existential group psychotherapy, whereas the control group received no intervention. The Life Attitude questionnaire (Reker, 1992), Death Depression Scale (Templer et al., 1990) and Death Obsession Scale (Abdel-Khalek, 1998) were used for data collection. The collected data were analyzed using single-factor analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The results of this study showed that the mean of life attitude score in the experimental group significantly was increased after the existential psychotherapy intervention in comparison with the control group (P< 0/001) and the mean of death depression and death obsession were decreased (P< 0/001). Based on the results of the present study, it can be concluded that existential psychotherapy can improve attitudes toward life and reduce the degree of perplexities related to death in recovered patients of Covid 19.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to design and test a structural model of the antecedents of borderline personality symptoms including neuroticism, emotional intelligence, and cognitive emotion regulation strategies and the quality of life of university students. The research design was correlational and 300 students from the Payame-Noor University of Najafabad were selected using the convenience sampling method. Data were collected using the NEO-FFI, the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale, and the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, WHOQOL, and Schizotypal Trait Questionnaire-B form. To test the model, the structural equation modeling method was used. In this analysis, the maximum likelihood method was used to estimate the model parameters, and the bootstrap method was used to investigate the significance of the indirect effects of the model. Data were analyzed using SPSS-24 and AMOS-24 software. The results showed that the fit indices of the model are desirable. The results of studying the direct effects of the model showed that all direct effects, except the effect of emotional intelligence on borderline personality symptoms, were significant. The results of the bootstrap test also showed that the indirect effects of neuroticism and emotional intelligence on quality of life were significant. In general, these results indicate that emotion regulation strategies can mediate the relationship between personality traits, borderline personality symptoms and quality of life. Given the importance of emotion regulation strategies in explaining borderline personality symptoms and quality of life, it can be suggested to the university students’,mental health authorities to take appropriate interventions in this area.
