Abstract: 

As the evidences show, medical care facilities are at the threshold of changing from paper- based to patient's electronic records. Digital radiographic image is a new imaging modality whose data could be assumed as a part of every patient's electronic record. It therefore, requires a great number of medical care staff including medical record and radiology department staff. Of those, the role of radiology technologists who take radiographs and perform quality control protocol seems to be crucial. This study aims at evaluateing the current knowledge of digital radiology and its affiliated systems (e.g PACS) of educational hospital radiology technologists. The data was gathered using questionnaire. Eighty three radiology technologists from four educational hospitals participated in the study. The evaluation was performed by presenting four basic questions with four possible choices for every question. A score was also assigned to every choice (1 as the lowest and 4 as the highest score). The result of this cross- sectional study showed that, the knowledge of evaluated subjects was so poor (average score 1.92 of 4) in this context. Therefore, it is suggested, before performing any alteration in radiology departments, the level of staff knowledge in relation with the alteration which is going to be done be evaluated. Then, on the basis of the results a comprehensive and regular in-service training is performed. Yet, these oncoming difficulties are not inevitable because technology advancement inherently is a dynamic phenomena; this means that in-service training is always required.

Abstract: 

Attention to the increasing role and importance of English learning in promoting the knowledge and understanding of students about their fields can double the necessity of its learning. The purpose of this study was to investigate the problems of English learning among the students of Health School of Ahwaz Jundishapur university of medical sciences. This research is a descriptive study. The population were all students in school of health (N=650). Samples of this study was thirty percent of the population size (195 persons), which selected by classification of randomly. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire's researcher made that prepared based on the Likert scale that consisted of 22 questions with 5 points. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and SPSS software. Results from the study showed that among the individual factors "not assignment a part of daily life to learning of English from students" and between educational factors, "weak educational system and establishing unsuitable prior From entering the university" and "the lack of utilization of modern teaching methods such as movies, display, and... during teaching and also among cultural-social factors, "high costs for training in language learning centers" were selected as the most important problems. Thus, it seems essential that the university educational authorities take measures to eliminate existing problems and promote learning English among the students.

Abstract: 

Medical education is an important priority in health ministry of Iran. Satisfaction of education has an impact on scholar improvement and helps students to get better grades in their lessons. The aim of this study was to assess the role of student's participation in education.120 undergraduate health students in faculty of health affiliated to Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences took part in this study which was performed from 2004 to 2006. Sixty students by current method (teaching and evaluation only by the teacher) and 58 students by offered methods were educated. Students participated in education (offered method) in the course of communicable diseases control by lecturing and evaluation their classmates. At the end of course, satisfaction of students was assessed using questionnaires with reliability and constancy of 82% and 87% respectively. Mean of student's grades were compared by t-test and satisfaction by chi square test. Satisfaction rates with offered method were 62.1% and with current method was 30.7%. There was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). Mean grades achieved by students in final evaluation in group educated by current method was 13.7±3.4 and in offered method was 17.1±2.8. Difference between two group was significant (p<0.05). Student's participation in education results in satisfaction and is effective in scholar improvement.

Abstract: 

To cover the responsibilities toward students, the universities have to consider the student counseling as a necessity. This study aimed at comparing opinions of instructors and students towards Academic advising and counseling students in AJUMS. In this cross-sectional study, 501 students and academic staff from AJUMS in total acted as the participants. The data was collected by distribution of two questionnaires upon the status of educational counseling. The data was analyzed using SPSS.15 software, t- test and ANOVA. According to the responses, the academic staff evaluated educational counseling at the rate of above the average (3.46±0.59) and students under the average (2.40±0.84) with significant differences of (p<0.001). Comparisons between students and professors’ attitudes’ about situation of educational student counseling regarding sex showed no statistically significant difference. In general it is concluded that, academic staff and students are not satisfied with the present status of student counseling. Considering the essentiality of this procedure, to support and conduct the students more sufficiently, a remedial looking seems necessary.

Abstract: 

Improving educational quality of the educational system is transcendental. Today, the need for improving the quality of the evaluation has been felt vitally in this study, 92 students in three consecutive years of 87-88 to 89 were used as samples. Teaching method that combines the self-assessment- evaluation of their classmates and teachers were presented. Working conditions and motivation for learning in the three samples were analyzed. Average students participated in the presentation of 51.3% to 100% increases. The absence mean from the classroom of 2.3 hours were reduced to less than one hour The final scores of students based on grade 20, 13.5 18.5 increased, Learners from poor to excellent satisfaction rate was changed.

Abstract: 

The educational activities of each country can account investment of one generation to another generation. This descriptive – cross sectional study was conducted to determine the educational status of midwifery nursing group of Ahwaz medical sciences university from academic faculty members viewpoint in the first semester from 2008 to 2009. The study population included all masters of Ahwaz Nursing Midwifery Faculty. Data collection tool was a questionnaire including 32 questions relating to educational masters function. The data was analyzed by using SPSS software and with descriptive statistics. Research finding indicate that faculty members’ use of teaching methods of lecture, question and answer and combination, use of educational aid tools and number of sessions for each lesson were reported desirable but use of workshop teaching method was unsatisfactory. The faculty members’ use of new and innovative techniques in theory and clinical teaching and their participation in the curriculum was as relatively desirable. According to indicators related to clinical education, implementation of educational rounds in each clinical unit was reported relatively desirable but enough variety and number of cases were reported undesirable for learning of students. This stuy provided a method for comparing of present situation to desirable situation that can be provided more awareness of relevant authorities to existing condition and create a appropriate clinical environment for students and endeavor to eliminate defects and failures according to the views of faculty members to promote their university education quality.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, the development of any society depends on the levels of social capital in its active organizations and institutions that many resources are involved in making this capital. Among these resources, universities can promote the knowledge, skills and competencies of their faculty members by investing in social capital. This study was aimed at surveying the social capital status in all faculty members employed at Health Faculty of Ahvaz Jundishapur University Medical Sciences (N=35). Data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive statistics and T-test in SPSS. Findings showed that among the components of social capital, empathy and helping were in good condition, Component of trust was in upper-middle and the cooperation and solidarity were in middle and finally social network was in poor condition between faculty members of Health School. So promotion of social capital concept can raise job satisfaction and motivation of faculty members and improve the effectiveness of training process.

Abstract: 

Graduates of MSc and BSc environmental health students must have the knowledge of programming and designing to carry the research projects regarding to the environmental health subjects. The present study was carried out to find the points that should be changed in the outlines of research methods module from the points of the students using closed questionnaires. Results of this study revealed that the majority of the students have confirmed the necessity and importance of this module in the curriculum of their course. In addition, the findings of this study revealed that the quality and quantity of some parts of research methods module should be changed using work-shop techniques including applying a real proposal. In addition, it is suggested that the current condition of the teaching of the module should be supported and the mark of the course recorded in the results of the students, officially, by the authority of Kashan University of medical sciences.

Abstract: 

Since any kind of learning doesn't cause training, in this case it was done many studying & researches, and some techniques to make effective training has been proposed. This research had been done on all the psychiatric field learners in study research group in 1387 on clinical professors and different specialty courses residents. Psychiatric field learners including interns and educational various level residents that divided small group and with regard to the ability, experience and knowledge every one of them, Subjects to be in during the three months would be presented, provided them. After that research was performed among learners with the aim of their survey on how they provided training. They often believed that these educational methods enhance the quality and learning speed and as a more active role given to them, they feel valuable and have more satisfaction. Also, with considering the fact that each learner is given appropriate feedback, and they could benefit from professors experiences, had a high satisfaction. Learning basically has scientific and research nature, and the classroom is where learners to explore concepts scientifically. In teaching process should be an opportunity for learners to practice training and learn training methods.
