Abstract: 

Nowadays, marital enrichment programs are extensively applied as a preventive intervention to enhance the relationship between couples. While past studies have indicated that marital virtues are an effective factor in the relationship between couples and has a lot in common with other marital outcomes, they have been neglected in marital enrichment programs and studies. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of emotional-focused marital enrichment program on marital virtues enhancement in couples. Based on the single-case research method, three couples were selected from the couples in Izeh, Iran by using available sampling method. To collect research data, the Marital Virtues Profile was used. In doing so, the single-case experimental of simultaneous multiple baselines was applied and the participants answered to the Marital Virtue Profile before (2 sessions), during (3 sessions), and during two follow-up sessions in 30 and 40 days. The data were analyzed via visual, improvement percentage, and Reliable Change Index. The results indicated that the emotion-focused enrichment program positively improved marital virtues of admiration (male participants 1, female 1 and 2), understanding (all three male participants and female participants 2 and 3), sacrifice (all three male participants and female 1 and 2), justice (all three female participants) and forgiveness (male participants 1 and 3 and all three female participants). Consequently, it seems that the emotion-oriented marriage enrichment program can effectively contribute to the marital virtues of couples.

Abstract: 

The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of resilience program training on parenting self-efficacy in mothers of deaf children. This study was quasi-experimental research of a single-subject type with a baseline, intervention, and follow-up design. The statistical sample consists of mothers of deaf children. Three mothers who participated in this study were selected using the convenience sampling method from one of the school in Khomeini Shahr, Isfahan. At first, as a baseline, participants had to fill out Parenting Self-Efficacy Scale three times a week (every two days), which indicated relative stability in scores. Then, participants received a resilience program training in 10 sessions. After each session, the subjects were evaluated with the mentioned scale and three weeks later, the same scale was performed three times with an interval of two days in between as a follow-up step. The extracted data were analyzed using visual analysis. The results showed that the resilience program training had a positive and significant effect on parenting self-efficacy in mothers of deaf children. The effect size and the percentage of overlapping and non-overlapping data for parenting self-efficacy were calculated for all participants. Furthermore, there was a significant effect of the intervention on the follow-up situation. According to the research findings, the resilience program training improved parenting self-efficacy in mothers of deaf children. Therefore, it is recommended that this program be used to improve parenting self-efficacy in mothers of deaf children.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to investigate the moderating role of gender and self-compassion in the relationship between child maltreatment with self-control among adolescents aged 13-19 in Qom & Kahak cities of Qom province. This research method was in the category of descriptive and correlational. The sample includes 409 people (205 girls and 204 boys) who were selected by the available sampling method. Instruments for gathering data included Child Abuse Self-Report Scale (CASRS), Self-Control Scale, and Self-Compassion Scale –Short Form (SCS-SF). The data of this research were analyzed by the role path analysis method. The findings showed that child maltreatment predicts a low level of self-control in adolescence. Child maltreatment predicts a low level of self-compassion in adolescence. The role of the moderator of self-compassion in the relationship between child maltreatment and self-control was confirmed, but the role of the moderator of gender in the relationship between child maltreatment and self-control was rejected. Thus, reducing child maltreatment can be promoted self-control and self-compassion in adolescence. Also, cultivating the trait of self-compassion in boys and girls who have experienced child maltreatment prevents them from reducing their self-control levels in adolescence. Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cognitive flexibility on corona anxiety with mediation of cognitive emotion regulation in undergraduate students poldokhtar higher education center. The research method was correlation of the type path analysis. The sample consisted of 230 undergraduate students of poldakhtar higher education center in the academic year of 2020-2021, who were selected based on the rules of thumb Kline equal and selected via the available sampling method. The instruments used in this study were Corona Disease Anxiety Scale, Cognitive Flexibility Inventory, and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using path analysis statistical method and bootstrapping method was used to examine the mediating role of the variables. Findings showed that after eliminating the direct path from adapted strategies to corona anxiety, the causal model of cognitive flexibility to corona anxiety was confirmed through the mediating role of maladaptive strategies. In general, the maladaptive strategies played a mediating role in the relationship between psychological flexibility and corona anxiety,therefore, it is suggested to take appropriate measures to reduce the maladaptive emotion regulation strategy and increase psychological flexibility in students.

Abstract: 

E-learning and blended education as new educational approaches due to the use of new technologies and the application of interaction in the education process and the two structures of academic engagement and academic well-being are important as motivating factors for learning. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the independent, interactive and adjusting relationships between electronic and blended approaches, academic engagement and academic well-being with the academic performance of students in the distance education system. In this experimental study based on three educational waves in the form of theoretical, practical and theoretical-practical education, among 220 people in the statistical population, using stratified random sampling method and based on Morgan and Krejcie table, 140 people were selected as a sample. To conduct the research, a researcher-made questionnaire of electronic-blended approach and a standardized questionnaire of academic engagement and academic well-being, along with academic performance in the form of scores of three tests were used. Correlation test was used for communication and step wise regression was used to explain. There was a relationship between electronic-blended approach, academic engagement (behavioral component) and academic well-being with academic performance in the first wave. In the second and third waves and in the form of interactive relationships, the blended approach had a positive relationship with academic engagement, academic well-being and academic performance compared to the electronic approach,But in the form of adjustment, it was negative. Therefore, multimedia and hypertext and had a greater effect on academic engagement, academic well-being and academic performance.

Abstract: 

The rapid spread of the corona virus has caused a lot of anxiety for people, so we should seek to identify factors that reduce COVID-19-related anxiety. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the Meaning in Life, spiritual well-being, and ego strength with COVID-19-related anxiety. The research method was a descriptive correlation. Using stratified random sampling, 330 secondary school students were studied through questionnaires on the Meaning in Life, spiritual well-being, ego strength, and COVID-19-related anxiety. Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise regression were used to analyze the data. According to the findings, there was a negative and significant relationship between the Meaning in Life, spiritual well-being, and ego strength with COVID-19-related anxiety. The regression results also showed that Meaning in Life, spiritual well-being, and ego strength can significantly predict COVID-19-related anxiety. According to these results, it can be said that by improving the Meaning in Life, spiritual well-being, and making ego stronger, students' COVID-19-related anxiety can be reduced.
