Abstract:

Management will make a decision on the future market when economic interrelationships are considered as biological relationships. This paper presents a Differential Generalized Inverse demand system to explore the market of foods containing animal protein and the relationships between different strains of food market existing in the market are discussed in detail. Statistics needed to support the company's affairs and the livestock Statistical Yearbook of Agriculture from 1974 to 2011 was used. Inverse demand system estimated generalized differential (GIDS) and test compound coefficients show that the best model for studying the demand for food containing protein villages in the country is the IAIDS model. The results showed that compensation cross elasticity indices estimated in the inverse demand substitution indicates IAIDS milk and eggs as well as meat and poultry. Quantitative Elasticity indices following theoretical foundations based on compensation were negative. This means increase in the price of any commodity its consumption drops. Meat and milk are essential products for rural consumers. The results of using the Allen elasticity of substitution also show that poultry is the best substitute for milk and vice versa. Also, poultry is the best substitute for red meat and red meat is the best substitute for eggs.

Abstract:

Environmental sustainability of rural settlements based on a systematic viewpoint may be defined as a realization of sustainable development in different social, economic and environmental aspects of rural areas. Achieving this goal requires that we pay more attention to effective elements and factors through a set of sustainability indices. This research was meant to analyze sustainable factors of rural settlement in three dimensions: environmental, social and economic context using multi-criteria decision analysis and explanation of the relationships between its active and effective factors in the rural area of the Khorramdarreh County in the province of Zanjan. The research method used is the descriptive analytic approach. Data from 287 households were sampled randomly from a total of 1143 households in the four villages including: Rahmat Abad, Alvand, Baghdareh and, Sukhariz (out of 15 villages) in the Khorramdarreh County. In the process of doing this research and after calculating the weights, the difference in the sustainability of environmental, social, economic and physical aspects in rural areas of this county have been determined. Data was collected using library and field research through questionnaires. Data analysis was performed by the One-Sample t Test and the Vikur and path analysis techniques, using statistical software SPSS. The findings show that environmental sustainability in the study area is half desirable. Among the different aspects of environmental sustainability, the most effective factors are physical, economic, social and environmental aspects, respectively. Little attention of policy-making–system to socio-cultural and environmental aspects, especially in practice, and rapid and unplanned utilization of production resources are the most important factors affecting this situation in two given dimensions. Although, in programmed documents the planning system agents emphasize on the socio-cultural sustainability - especially environmental aspects, they ignore the implementation of approved policies in action. However, the role of villagers without necessary training in rapid utilization of resources should not be neglected.

Abstract:

Modernization of rural housing based on the principles of sustainability is one of the most important prerequisites for achieving sustainable development in rural areas. This can only be achieved by knowing the exact status of rural housing and its range of stability. And rural planning is not possible without it. On the other hand, survey of the stability of the different aspects of rural housing will have a decisive role in decisions related to how to promote this project aimed at sustainable rural development. Therefore, this study we have investigated and compared the economic, Social, environmental, technical and physical aspects of new rural housing with sustainability approach, quantitative paradigm and the case study method. The statistical population in the study were all the people of Baba Hoseyn Bridge Village from which a number were selected who had reconstructed their homes. The results are shown in 4 dimensions of new housing's economic, social, environmental, technical and physical aspects in the Baba Hoseyn Bridge Village although they have very little inclination towards sustainability. Despite this, the hybrid economic index for reconstruction of rural housing turned out to be more stable than other metrics.

Abstract:

Identifying the structure of regional development and their peripheral potentials is of vital importance to a fair spatial distribution of resources and services at the national and regional levels. For this purpose, 55 variables must be used in the form of seven indicators of economical, health, educational, administrative, political, communications, physical space including recreational and cultural that are required for rural development. These variables should be used by descriptive analytical methods and measurements of quantitative data. The Mauritius model may be used in order to determine the spatial distribution of services in the villages in the region of the municipalities. The results show that there is a relatively large spatial difference in the degrees development in rural areas of the city in which the average index of economic indicators and health in rural development - being 26.25 and 28.02 are is much lower than the average rate of educational development (i.e.53.7). And in a total of 11 districts of the city, only South Shroud is highly developed and municipalities of Kakan, Chin and Chenaar are deprived and there are no developed districts there Also, the poorest and the most developed districts are located in the central part. The reason for this could be population density, increased migration, and distance to the center of the district. In total, the Margoon region (including Zylayy and Margoon municipalities) are more developed when compared with other parts of the city in all of the parameters studied. In fact, regions that have suffered from stagnation in the course development need attention to be allocated space and resources plus planning.

Abstract:

Poverty is an undesirable economic and social phenomenon and one of the important causes of poverty is unfair distribution of income amongst the people. The governments should adopt suitable policies for eradication of poverty in the society. In this study, the poverty line of Iran's rural households is estimated by the theory of relative habit of formation of linear expenditure system (RHLES) and by using data of household's expenditure for 8 commodity groups over the periods of 1989-2013. Then, the position of poverty in rural regions is calculated by the indicators of headcount ratio, poverty gap and Foster, Greer and Thorbecke (FGT). The results of the study show that although the poverty line (minimum subsistence quantity) in Iran's rural households has had an average growth of about 21.3 percent, the value of poverty indices are reduced during the five economic development plans. Thus, we may conclude that the government policies for the reduction of relative poverty in rural regions have been successful.

Abstract:

The goal of this study is to investigate farmers’ intentions and behavior regarding water conservation in the Aleshtar County based on social capital. The statistical population in this study consisted of 6000 farmers living in the Aleshtar county A sample of 360 farmers were selected from this population based on Krejcie and Morgan’s Table. Sampling was done by using the stratified random sampling method. Regression analysis of social factors indicated that trust in public institutions, external communication and value of life are the most important factors to predict the intention for agricultural water conservation. The results revealed that these variables on the whole could predict 40 % of the variations in intentions for agricultural water conservation. Furthermore, tolerance of variation and external communications were significantly useful to predict farmers’ water conservation behavior as well. Totally, if these variables are used, we can predict 41% of variations in farmers’ water conservational behavior. Finally, based on the research results, suggestions for better use of water by farmers have been provided.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to assess the extent of tendency of the farmers towards participation in the design of land consolidation in Orzuie in 2015. The statistical population in this study is farmers in the central sector of Orzuie (N=1200).105 of whom were selected as research samples using random simple sampling method. The main instrument in this study was a Researcher-Made questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by a group of experts and the Cranach's Alpha coefficient was used for the reliability (0.80-0.84). The data was analyzed by using the SPSS software. The results illustrated that 54% of farmers were highly inclined to participate in the design of land consolidation. The degree of their inclination was classified to be 27.6% in the average levels, and 17.2% in the low levels. Also, the result of stepwise multiple regressions analysis indicated that 60 percent variations of the inclination of the farmers towards participation in the design of land consolidation was determined by the extent awareness of the design of land consolidation, education and number of pieces of farmland.

Abstract:

The attitude of greenhouse owner as the basis of agricultural production towards sustainable agriculture could be grounds for increasing the sustainability of this type of cultivation system. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the attitude of greenhouse owners towards sustainability in the Alborz province. The target population for this study consisted of all active greenhouse owners in the Alborz province (N=366). The sample size was determined by using Cochran’s formula (n=155) and using the proportional stratified random sampling method. The validity was confirmed by a panel of experts and its reliability was established by Cronbach's Alpha coefficient (0.85). The results showed that the attitude of 41 percent of the respondents towards sustainability was positive. Also, there were significant differences between the attitudes of the respondents in the group with related education and unrelated education group. Correlation analysis showed that the there is a positive relation between attitude towards searching behavior and the use of communication channels. In addition, the results of multiple regression analysis indicated that about 40 percent of the attitudes of greenhouse owner towards sustainable agriculture are explained by 4 variables. The result of this study indicate that by using different means of providing information and training, we can change the attitudes of greenhouse owners and lead them to produce more sustainable and healthy product.
