Abstract:

Nowadays, due to the complexity and uncertainty in the business environment, joining strategic alliances, as a source of innovation and gaining competitive advantage, especially for the technical and technological development or technology transfer is required more than ever. Several studies show the high rate of failure in these types of alliances. The alliance is successful at the same time as the joint ventures create a common value, and each party acquires its share of the alliance. But the main challenge comes from the value acquisition. In this paper, "the value takeover in the technological strategic alliances" has been investigated as one of the important factors influencing the success or failure of this type of alliances and is defined as "the total firm value of the union, plus the share of the firm of the joint value created. " After reviewing the literature and identifying the factors affecting the dimensions of value capturing, the importance of each of these factors was examined using fuzzy best-worst method (FBWM) in the automotive industry. The results indicate that absorptive capacity, bargaining power and previous general experience of the firm are the most important factors affecting value capturing in the technological strategic alliances, and firms must focus on these factors in order to gain value from an alliance.

Abstract:

Despite the enormous potentials of Iran to generate electricity from photovoltaic solar systems, diffusion of these systems is very slow. The present study, which was performed during the period of 2016-2018 by combining multi-level approaches and technological innovation system, seeks to identify and investigate the barriers that Iran's fossil-fuel socio-technical regime has created in its historical and cultural context caused non-transition to photovoltaic solar systems. For this purpose, firstly, after reviewing the literature, interviewing the experts and thematic analysis, transition barriers with emphasis on the regime were identified and then Fuzzy Delphi technique was used to test the results. Eventually, 10 obstacles were categorized into four economic, institutional, political and technical categories, including market control by the ruling regime, the use of discursive strategies, regulation and standards in stabilizing the ruling regime, massive investment in oil and gas distribution and extraction. In the second phase, interviews with experts and the use of the Strategic Options Development and Analysis (SODA) method indicated that these barriers had the greatest impact on the functions of resource allocation, legitimization, and system orientation. Finally, some mechanisms have been proposed to overcome these obstacles.

Abstract:

The acceleration process starts with the evaluation and selection of startups. Identification of the criteria used in the evaluation and selection process is important on the one hand for accelerators, and on the other hand, for the admission of applicants in acceleration periods. This study has been used mixed method to identify the criteria for evaluating opportunities in accelerators. In this regard, first, by systematically reviewing articles related to accelerators, as well as interviewing the experts, the evaluation criteria from three dimensions of the problem-solution, the entrepreneurial team and the accelerator were derived. Then, by analyzing the collected questionnaires completed by directors and trainers of active Iranian accelerators, opportunity assessment criteria and reasons for non-acceptance of opportunity were examined using SPSS software. The results of factor analysis show that accelerators use 11 criteria to evaluate the quadruple risks of market, technology, agency and capital. Clustering the importance of evaluation criteria for accelerators shows that evaluation approaches can be divided into two groups of team-oriented and market-oriented evaluation

Abstract:

New product development is a strategic activity for many companies to gain competitive advantage and managers need to improve the performance of their new product development. This important issue involves examining the variables that affect the performance of new product development. This paper examines the impact of information technology (IT) capabilities and supply chain integration capabilities on the performance of new product development, and in this regard, the moderating role of knowledge absorption capacity has been also studied. The research method is descriptive and of survey type. The statistical population of the research is the active manufacturing companies located in the industrial city of Rasht, and the questionnaires were completed by the managers and senior experts of these companies. To evaluate the model fit and test the research hypotheses, 120 companies were surveyed. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. In order to analyze the data, structural equation modeling with partial least squares approach and PLS software was used. The findings show that IT capability increases the performance of the new product development. The moderating role of knowledge absorptive capacity in the relationship between IT capability and supply chain integration capability as well as the moderating role of knowledge absorptive capacity in the relation between supply chain integration capability and the new product development performance were confirmed.

Abstract:

The concept of business model is important to succeed for organizations in the competitive world as well as gaining a global position in the field of entrepreneurship. This paper presents the use of personal construct theory and repertory grid methodology which is a new method for extracting entrepreneurial cognitive understanding of a business model. This research is a descriptive survey. First, using 13 semi-structured interviews with entrepreneurs in the field of electronics business and extracting 346 primary structures from their cognitive understanding of effective business models, 37 secondary structures were obtained using content analysis method. Then, using a questionnaire, the experts' opinions were collected to systematize the structures of the effective business model. The theoretical contribution of this research is to present a business model framework for the electronics business using repertory grid technique. This framework can be useful for start-ups and business development for entrepreneurs and can be used to understand the effective business model in the future research works.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to investigate the transformative documents in the theoretical domain of dynamic capabilities. Dynamic capabilities, which is one of the key ideas in the field of strategic management and innovation management, seeks to answer the fundamental question why some firms have better innovative performance in terms of competition than the others. The method used in this research is of scientometrics type and it is tried to use co-citation analysis in the first step to extract the burstness rate of different scientific documents and then, using a homogeneous analysis of the documents, the betweenness centrality of each document is measured. Finally, using the Sigma Index, it is attempted to extract transformative documents in this theoretical domain. The results of this research show that 23 documents have the role of transformation and development pivot in this theoretical field. On the other hand, these 23 documents lead to three major schools, ie, supportive theories, developers and the application of theory, which form the most basic and most important scientific documents in this field. The study shows that at least 5 very important theoretical contexts in this knowledge area, namely, "source-based approach to enterprise", "the theory of economical evolution", "knowledge-based approach to enterprise", “ the theory of dynamic capabilities” , and "behavioral theory" can be searched.
