Abstract: 

A wide range of research have been conducted on Science and Technology (S&T) collaborative networks in recent decades, focusing on several aspects. In an extensive study of 5 main S&T networks in I. R. of Iran (founded during 1999-2005), four hypotheses emerged regarding the pattern of network formation and evolution. These hypothesis were categorized into two main approaches according to S&T network formation and evolution namely natural and unnatural patterns. The hypotheses were the results of literature review and in-depth exploratory interviews with key informants of the case networks. To test the hypotheses, a survey was conducted participating representatives of the member institutes (universities, research centers and firms) of the 5 networks. 112 participants from 83 institutes answered the questionnaire. The research concludes that naturally established and developed S&T networks are more sustainable than unnatural ones. There are satisfying consistency between all confirmed hypotheses and the real world status of the case networks, except one. . . . .

Abstract: 

Technology life cycle (TLC) is one of the main concepts in technology management, especially in technology forecasting. TLC generally is modeled by S-Curve. In spite of simplicity of this modeling, utilizing of it in recognition the situation of a specific technology is difficult. Most of the methods in modeling the TLC wouldn’ t meet the requirements such as to achieve a defined level of accuracy and quantification. TLC could be calculated by using text-mining technics that apply on patents’ content. In this research Co-word as one of the text-mining techniques is used to explore technology areas and life cycles of them. In this study patents are gathered from USPTO as input of text-mining process. Hence by using clustering methods, the main technology areas in “ Unmanned Underwater Vehicle” (UUV) system are recognized. Also the main future technological changes in UUV systems are forecasted. More over the TLC of these technology areas is defined by using S-Curve model.

Abstract: 

Nowadays innovation is one of the essential factors for companies to survive in competition with other companies. This study tries to predict the level of the product, process, marketing and organizational innovations by using the factors affecting innovation and using artificial neural networks and regression techniques. It also determines the most important factors affecting each type of innovation. In this study questionnaire has been used for data collection and companies located in Yazd Science and Technology Park form Statistical population. Since all companies were not accessible, Iqbal Center of Science and Technology Park was chosen for the distribution of questionnaires. After distributing questionnaires among all of the Iqbal center companies (about 70 companies) 60 questionnaires returned to the researchers. By using obtained data, five models were extracted to predict the level of innovation. This study concludes that the quality of human resources, appropriate organizational substructures, organizational culture supporting innovation and dynamic organizational environment have the most influence on the creation of innovation in Companies located in Yazd Science and Technology Park.

Abstract: 

In the past decade, intermediary organizations like brokers and innovation intermediates have critical role in the well functioning of national and sectoral innovation system. Based on explorative studies in Iran aerospace sectored we found that intermediaries have other roles such as capability building in the formation and success of technological collaboration. Methodologically, both quantitative and qualitative research methods have been employed. The conceptual model was developed based on explorative studies about previous and current situation of technological collaborations in this sector and identifying problems regarding the formation and success of technological collaborations and also literature review about capability building role of intermediaries. Empirical data was collected using 220 Questionnaires and research hypotheses were examined by statistical analyses such as factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Based on the results of structural equation modeling, the model was validated and the results indicate that capability building is related to collaboration effectiveness. Also we found that partner selection and collaboration design have stronger relationship with capability building role.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, it is obvious that the degree of IT development is not the same in different countries. The factors leading to these dissimilarities have been investigated in several researches. In this paper, the factors affecting the IT diffusion and acceptance in Iranian organizations have been discussed based on the EOT Model (Environment, Organization, and Technology Model). The data have been gathered through survey of more than 84 Iranian firms during 2010 to 1012. Also, a case study is applied for justifying the research results. The results show that the factors such as: managers' perception of IT advantages and challenges, The size of organization, stability of managers, suppliers readiness for IT usage, have a positive influence on IT acceptance in the organizations. However, the relation between the intensity of competition in the industry and IT acceptance is not confirmed. Finally, some policy implications for IT diffusion in Iran have been discussed.

Abstract: 

Internet as a new phenomenon in recent two decades is an essential basis for Information and Communication Technology applications and developments, so internet infrastructure development is a major priority in many countries. This paper investigates to develop a comprehensive pattern titled fuzzy-diffusion framework to forecast Internet penetration rate in different countries by applying the theory of diffusion and fuzzy-control method. Applying fuzzy-control method for clustering the samples and building up a model not only gives us a chance to apply many more samples with different criteria to make the pattern but also makes it possible to present special predictions for each country regarding its distinctive characteristics. This pattern with regard to its given data from 1992 to 2006 has been classified for 153 countries in 3 clusters and applied according to the diffusion models and theories. Results of this model for case-study of Iran shows this pattern's estimation has lower MSE than whole countries model and forecast in year 2014, Iran Internet penetration rate will reach to 56. 26 percent.
