The Postcolonial Studies is considered as a new perspective embarking to explore the third world countries issues and trends. Criticizing a set of western theoretical approaches, it seeks to investigate the various consequences the colonialism brought about for colonized, third world as well as other nonwestern society.Based on postcolonial perspective, the values, intellectual traditions, literature, knowledge and scientific research of western culture has historically and consciously marginalized nonwestern socio-cultural forms of life as an Other. Also, opening a new window to look for historical construction of Orient and invention of West, Postcolonialism critically discusses the contemporary issues such as globalization, late cultural imperialism, orientalism, west and the rest, hybrid identity, mimicry and so on.This paper, using documentary method, studies the historical emergence of Postcolonialism. In addition, it considers important issues addressed such as language, literature, identity, and orientalism, birth of the west, Other, globalization, neo-imperialism, hybridity and mimicry referring to Postcolonialism perspective.
