Background and Objectives: Human beings are complicated and have different cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. One of the most important human dimensions is the spiritual dimension that can affect the other dimensions. To this end, this study intended to determine the relationship between spiritual health and nurses’ caring behaviors.Materials & Methods: This study was descriptive-correlational research.256 nurses working in academic hospitals of Tehran in 2015-2016 as a sample were randomly selected. Data collection instruments included demographic, spiritual health and caring behaviors questionnaires. Research data were analyzed by 21-SPSS statistical software and using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient, regression and multivariate analysis of variance. In this study, all relevant ethical issues were considered. Results: The findings showed the mean score of spiritual health was 75.43±5.21 and the average scores on all subscales and the overall scale of caring behaviors were more than 3 where the highest mean was related to the subscale of respect for the others (4.12±0.89) and the lowest mean was related to the subscale of attention to other experiences (3.38±1.09) respectively. Moreover, the results revealed that there was a significant positive correlation between the mean score of spiritual health and caring behaviors (r=0.84, P<0.01).Conclusion: Caring behaviors and spiritual health are related to each other in nurses. Therefore, it is indispensable to promote and prioritize the spiritual health and caring behaviors of nurses so that patients and their families will receive better health services.

Abstract:

Background and Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of religious coping in the relationship between identity processing styles and cell phone addiction.Materials & Methods: This descriptive and correlational study encompassed all students in Zahedan University in 2016 as its research population. From this population, 384 were selected using simple random sampling by Krejcie Morgan Table. Questionnaires of Identity processing styles, religious coping and addiction to cell phones were used for data collection. For data analysis, SPSS 19 was used for descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient and LISREL 8.50 software was used for structural equation modeling (path analysis). In this study, all relevant ethical issues were considered. Results: Results showed that there is a positive significant correlation between cell phone addiction with diffuse-avoidant style (p£0.01) and negative religious coping (p£0.05). The relationship between negative religious coping with informational and normative styles is negative and with diffuse-avoidant style is positively meaningful (p£0.01). Path analysis supported the mediating role of negative religious coping in the relationship between normative and diffuse-avoidant identity processing styles with cell phone addiction. Conclusion: The results of this study indicated that negative religious coping has restricted mediating role in the relationship between identity processing styles and cellphone addiction.

Data was collected with citation analysis technique and using a researcher-made checklist. Descriptive and inferential statistical indicators were used for data analysis. In this study, all relevant ethical issues were considered. Results: A survey on 20, 776 references from 511 dissertations has shown that Nahjul-Balagha was not used in any of them. In addition, findings of 19, 069 references used in 876 published scientific articles in Persian journal of Babol University of Medical Sciences have showed that, the utilization rate of Nahjul-Balagha was 2 times over a 22-year interval. The abstract of only 1 article had been attached to Nahjul-Balagha issue in a 16-year interval of survey on 2928 articles presented in environmental health conferences. Conclusion: Though the important role of religious recommendations and especially useful written advice in Nahjul-Balagha on health, the utilization rate of this valuable book among articles of medical sciences, is rare.

Abstract:

Background and Objectives: Although there is no statistics about the exact number of addicted women in our country, but Ministry of Health reports show that there is a ratio of one woman per eight addict men. The purpose of this study is to compare the Social adjustment, Self-regulation and Religious beliefs in addicted and normal women in Urmia.Materials & Methods: The method of this study is causal-comparative. The statistical population of this study includes all addicted and normal women in Urmia city in 2014. Among this population, 200 women (100 addicted women and 100 normal women) were selected as the sample by using the available non-random sampling method, according to Morgan table. The questionnaires of social adjustment Bell, self-regulation of Miller and Brown and religious beliefs of Klarg were used to collect data. The data were analyzed through SPSS version 20, and descriptive and inferential statistics (MANOVA). In this study, all relevant ethical issues were considered. Results: The findings proved that there is a significant difference between the two groups in a way that normal women believe in religion more than addict ones (p<0.01).Conclusion: Consequently, the social adjustment, self-regulation and the religious beliefs of normal women were more than addicted women. Therefore, it can be concluded that special measures should be taken to increase the social adaptation, self-regulation and religious beliefs of addicted women and to help them overcome their addiction and not turn into addiction.

Abstract:

Background and Objectives: Since spiritual health is proposed in the field of social health, the researchers have not been able to achieve a single concept of spiritual health. Even, researchers of the same religion and culture have different ideas; therefore, it is important to propose a conceptual framework from the perspective of the holy religion of Islam and determine the indices of spiritual health based on the single concept.Materials & Methods: This study is analytical-descriptive. An explicit and implicit content analysis was done to analyze the data, and to extract the structural characteristics of spiritual health in Islamic texts (Quran and Hadiths), a content analysis of the verses and narratives about the spiritual health was carried out.... In this study, all relevant ethical issues were considered. Results: The findings of this study include the relativity, priority and originality of the health concept. Furthermore, it has been found that health has a high status in Islamic texts, and spiritual health has a higher rank in comparison with other aspects of health. The results show three aspects of the concept of spiritual health (attitude-based, emotion and behavior--based), the relationship between the various aspects of health and spiritual health, the interaction between the aspects, the goal-oriented nature of spiritual health in Islam, and in Islamic texts (the Quran and Nahjul-Balagha) existential health is necessary for religious health. Conclusion: The findings of this study revealed that it is not possible to achieve a clear concept of the spiritual health and define its parameters in Islam regardless of the conceptual framework of the spiritual health. The structural characteristics and spiritual health play a role even in the context of spiritual health according to Islam. It affects the field of spiritual therapy and ultimately the field of education.
