Aim: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive processing therapy on cognitive regulation of emotion and personal growth of children of Shahed and Isargar families. Method: The present study was quasi-experimental with experimental and control groups and pretest-posttest design with one-month follow-up. The statistical population of this study was 135 children of Shahed and Isargar families of Shahed Secondary School and Yasouj University. After screening using the Cognitive Emotion Regulation questionnaire of Garnefski et al (2002) and Robitsckek, s Personal Growth(1998), 30 people were selected and in the experimental group of cognitive processing (n = 15) and the control group (n = 15) were randomly replaced. The experimental group underwent 12 sessions of 90-minute cognitive processing intervention by Ressick, Nishis, Weaver, Austin, and Fauer (2007); Then both groups were evaluated in three stages of pre-test, post-test, and follow-up by cognitive emotion regulation questionnaires and personal growth. Data were analyzed using repeated measures mixed variance analysis. Results: The results showed the effect of cognitive processing therapy on the emotional regulation of adaptive strategy (P=0. 015, F = 6. 70), emotion regulation of non-adaptive strategy (P=0. 001, F = 15. 71), and individual growth intervention (p=0. 031, F = 5. 14) in the post-test stage and the stability of this effect was in the follow-up stage. Conclusion: Since cognitive processing, therapy promotes emotional regulation of personal growth; therefore, it can be used to improve the cognitive regulation of emotion and personal growth in children of Shahed and Isargar families.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of solution-oriented couple therapy on improving communication patterns and emotional control of disturbed couples. Method: The present study was quasi-experimental with the experimental group, control, and pre-test, post-test with two-month follow-up. The statistical population of this study was 34 married women who were referred to Mehravar, Hamdelkadeh, Hamraz Zandegi, and Hamrah group counseling centers in Tehran in 2019. After screening using the Christensen and Solawai (1984) Couples Communication Patterns Questionnaire and Williams And Chambels (1997) Emotion Control Scale 24 women were selected and randomly assigned to the solution-based groups (12 women) and the control group (12 women). The experimental group received a weekly solution-based couple therapy intervention of McDonald (2007) as a group in 8 sessions of 90 minutes. Both groups were assessed in three stages of pre-test, post-test, and follow-up by the marital communication beliefs scale. Data were analyzed using repeated measures variance test. Results: The results showed that solution-based couple therapy has effect on adaptive constructive patterns (P = 0. 005, F = 9. 70), expectation / isolation (P = 0. 047, F = 3. 70), expectant man / isolation woman (P = 0. 045, F = 4. 51), expectant woman / isolation man (P = 0. 014, F = 4. 06), and adaptive avoidance (P = 0. 006, F = 9. 44); Also solutionoriented couple therapy is effective on controlling anger (P = 0. 021, F = 6. 16), controlling depressed mood (P = 0. 004, F = 10. 52), controlling anxiety (P=0. 021, F=5. 77) and positive emotion control (P = 0. 027, F = 5. 60) and this effect was stable in the follow-up phase (P <0. 05). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that solution-based intervention is an appropriate way to correct communication patterns and improve emotion control in each of the disturbing couples.

Aim: This study aimed to predict coronavirus anxiety based on anxiety tolerance and cognitive emotion regulation in employed women. Method: the research method is descriptive-correlational and the statistical population of this study consisted of 220 women working in health centers in Yasouj in 2020. Using Morgan table, 140 employed women were selected using random sampling method and responded to the Corona Anxiety Scale of Alipour, Ghadami, Alipour, and Abdollahzadeh (2019), Garnefski et al. (2002) Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, and Simmons and Gahr (2005) Distress Tolerance Questionnaire; Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: The results showed that there was a negative correlation between adaptive emotion regulation strategy and distress tolerance with coronary anxiety and a negative correlation between non-adaptive emotional regulation strategy and coronary anxiety (P = 0. 01); Stepwise regression coefficients showed that adaptive emotional regulation (P = 0. 001, β =-0. 28), non-adaptive emotional regulation (P = 0. 001, β = 0. 18), and distress tolerance (P = 0. 007, β =-0. 38) were able to predict coronary anxiety. Conclusion: According to the results, to reduce the coronary anxiety of employed women, programs can be designed to increase positive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and their anxiety tolerance and reduce negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies and implemented through electronic and virtual workshops.

Aim: The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of an emotional freedom technique on anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in women with spontaneous abortion. Method: The present study was a single-case experimental design with an asynchronous multiple baseline type. We selected 6 out of 21 women with abortion trauma at Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Isfahan in April and May 2019 using the purposive sampling and after screening by Spielberger anxiety inventory (1983), and the Self-report post-traumatic stress disorder symptom scale by Foa, Riggs, Dancu, & Rothbaum (1993). The women were individually treated in sessions of emotional freedom techniques by Church (2014) in twelve forty-five minute sessions with two follow-up stages. We analyzed the data by visual mapping, stable change index, and recovery percentage formula. Results: The results indicated that the emotional freedom technique intervention among participating women reduced trait anxiety in the treatment phase (38. 75% recovery) and follow-up phase (43. 06%), state anxiety in the treatment phase (47. 14% recovery) and follow-up phase (47. 91%), and post-traumatic stress disorder in the treatment phase (49. 92% recovery) and follow-up phase (50. 29%). Conclusion: The results indicated that the use of the treatment for individuals suffering from PTSD and other associated disorders, including anxiety, could help to simultaneously improve both problems.

Aim: The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of positivism training, with an Islamic approach, on self-control, self-compassion, and the other dyadic perspective-taking in married women. Method: The research method was quasi-experimental with experimental and control groups, a pretest, post-test design, and a two-month follow-up. The statistical population consisted of 5606 married female students at Azad University of Arak in 2020, among whom we selected 30 married students using convenience sampling and randomly assigned them to experimental and control groups. We conducted the positivism training program with an Islamic approach in eight 60-minute sessions for the experimental group. We evaluated the data using the Self-Control Scale (2004) by Tangney et al., the Neff selfcompassion scale (2003), and Long's other dyadic perspective-taking Scale (ODPT (1990) at three stages, pre-test, post-test, and follow-up. We analyzed the data using repeated measures mixed model analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results: The results indicated the effects of positivism training with an Islamic approach on self-control (p=0. 038 and F= 12. 659), selfcompassion (p=0. 0. 041 and F= 6. 884), and the other dyadic perspectivetaking (p=0. 038 and F= 14. 58), and the stability of the effect at the follow-up stage. Conclusion: The results indicated that positivism training with an Islamic approach affected self-control, self-compassion, and other dyadic perspective-taking in married women.

Abstract:

Aim: This study was conducted to investigate the phenomenology of the quality of life of first married women in polygamous families. Method: The study was performed by phenomenological method. The statistical population included first married women with polygamous husbands in Shiraz. Ten first married women with bigamous husbands were selected using purposive sampling in 2020. Sampling continued until saturation, i. e. when no new data were obtained during the interview. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview. The interview questions were designed by the researcher in the form of open-ended based on the objectives and theoretical foundations. Data were analyzed based on King & Horrocks (2010) thematic analysis. Results: The results indicated that women in these families were exposed to severe personal and social vulnerabilities such as loneliness, emotional divorce, lack of family support, reduced material well-being, physical problems, feelings of inferiority, and lack of a sense of belonging due to the husband's polygamy. Conclusion: Polygamy causes a negative psychological atmosphere and tension in the first spouse, which will lead to marital tensions and conflicts, and ultimately unhealthy living space and disruption of family order. Therefore, the process of the whole society should be directed towards a healthy and monogamous family.

Abstract:

Aim: This study is aimed to determine the comparison of the effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy with integrated psychotherapy in defensive styles and Internet addiction. Method: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design and one-month follow-up with the control group. And the statistical population consisted of all high school students in district one of Tehran province 2017-2018. In this population, 60 students with high scores in Internet addiction were purposefully selected and were placed randomly in two study groups and one control group (20 people in each group). The research tools included the Internet Addiction Test (Young, 1999) and the defense styles of Andrews, Singh, and Bond (2014). The first study group received eight sessions of 90 minutes and one session per week of integrated psychotherapy package of Lotfi, Kashani, and Vaziri (2015), and the second study group received dialectical behavioral therapy package of Linehan (1987). The data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis. Results: The results showed that dialectical behavior therapy intervention is effective on Internet addiction score (F = 61. 21, P = 0. 001), developed component (F = 4. 28, P = 0. 046), underdeveloped component (34 F = 6. 6, P = 0. 017) and neurotic component (F = 4. 51, P = 0. 041). And integrated psychotherapy intervention is effective on Internet addiction score (F = 54. 07, P = 0. 001), developed component (F = 10. 09, P = 0. 003), underdeveloped component (F = 6. 80, P = 0. 041) and neurotic component (F = 13. 44, P = 0. 001). This effect has been stable in the follow-up stage. Conclusion: According to the results, it can be concluded that both dialectical therapy and integrated psychotherapy were effective in defense styles and reducing Internet addiction of the participants of the research compared to the control group. But there is no significant difference between the two therapies.
