Collective identity is a joint way of thinking, feelings and sentiment of a group. From the modernity viewpoint, on the base of symbolic interactionism, it excites a strange sense of attachment, affinity, and obligation among the group members, and facilitates the process of self-exploration of the social actors and reflection of people’s attitude towards them. Iranian identity is a collective identity that has a macro level than the other micro-identities that live in Iran, and enjoys a special greatness and dignity and its elements have formed during a long period of history.This article has considered Iranian identity in Kurdish poetry using documentary method and content analysis, and on the base of historical backgrounds, has considered several dimensions of Iranian Identity, such as “Persian Language, socio-cultural structure, territory, political and religion, and it has designed analysis units for each category.

Emphasizing on language as a mediator variant, this article deals with the relationship between the discursive field of the Western media regarding Iran and the same/other discourse of orientalism. Using Bourdieu's language theory and the critical discourse Analysis, we can say that the discursive sphere of media in relation with post-revolutionary Iran is affected by the political field in the West and the subject of the western media is not an autonomous subject but is embedded by the dominant discourse in these societies. The examination of some texts of editorials and political documentaries of the Western media shows that they reproduce and disseminate a highlighted language which is politically oriented and its concepts and propositions reproduce the very "linguistic market of orientalist discourse by articulating new signifiers as terrorism, nuclear weapon, not being democratic and so on. Consequently in this discursive field, the western dominant discourse disseminates its identity through language and represents and denies Iran as its other.

This study aims at investigating the factors influencing national identity of high school students at Dehloran County. Independent variables in this study were: socio-economic status, similarity of group values, being accepted by others, internalizing values, self-satisfaction, and the dependent variables was national identity. To do this, a case study was conducted and the factors affecting national identity were analyzed in the city. The population of study consisted of 3445 individuals from which 1970 were male and 1475 were female. The size of the sample was determined to be 345 using Cochran’s formula and by classifying, and stratifying based on major, grade, and gender. The theoretical framework of the study was based on the theory of symbolic interaction Sociologists (Meed, Bloomer, and Cooley) and Parsons, and Peter Burke. Societal identity has been viewed from a national identity viewpoint. The findings indicate that all independent variables except gender had a meaningful relationship with the dependent variable. Socio-economic identity negatively related national identity and the other variables were positively correlated with it. The variables investigated comprised 22 percent of the variance of national variance meaning that R2 was responsible for 22 percent of national identity.

Islamic revolution and imposed war, undoubtedly, were effective factors in forming new political identity among Iranian people. The purpose of this research is implying development process and forming of new identity among Iranian people in the first decade of revolution from the constructivism theory view and mentioning this subject that what changes make the imposed war renew political identity of Iranian society. Method of this research is descriptive-analytic.What does really make new political identities possible? According to the constructivism outlook, new ideology in every era make possibility of changing the kind of identity and the result of this identity changing is a convergence in interests and policies. According to the forging of Identity, Iran has been changed and she has taken the special form in different eras.In sum, this fact should be stressed that in the light of a new construct, the imposed war brought about new identities among Iranian people. The new construct deepened in turn spiritualism, martyrdom obtainment, non-obedience attitude against enemies, combating against arrogant poles and self-reliance resulting in the formation of new identity among the people.

This study has been done to investigate cultural factors related to the national identity of Bane and Ghorve teens. In doing so, we have used social-cultural theories about identity to explain the national identity. In data collection the survey method has been applied. This survey has been done upon 598 Kurd teens as a sample by use of multi-step and simple random and cluster sampling. In two-variable analysis, we have seen a meaningful variation among variables of the participation in language classes, the extent of religiousness, using of media and gender with national identity. In multi-varaible analysis, we show that variables of the extent of religiousness, city (Bane), the extent of using media and participation in language classes have significant relationship with the dependent variable, and totally it showed variance of 23.5 percent and other variables stood out of regression equation.

The communication medium including real and virtual plays a determining role in admission and engagement of the people in society particularly the youth in mental patterns (attitudes) and objective (behaviors). In this regard, the virtual field of expanding activities of social networks as one of the brokers of making social changes including favorable and unfavorable is an unavoidable fact. This article wants to study of the influence of social networks on the lifestyle of the youth in the city of Shahrekord and response to this issue that the young people choose which lifestyle, joy-oriented, knowledge-based, idealistic, passive (aimless). In 2011, this research has been carried out by survey method. Conducting this research and its results helps the cultural officials of the country to prevent the tendency of youth toward deviation lifestyles. The subjective territories of this research are background variables, relationship coherence, value coherence, social accumulation and lifestyle.The statistical population of this plan includes all internet users aging between 15-35 years present in 16 active coffee nets of Shahrekord city in 2010. Using the sampling formula of Cochran, 451 users were determined and the sampling method is proportional to volume on a classified basis. To determine the type of lifestyle and create the indicators of independent variables, researcher questionnaire was used. The results of research showed that there is no relationship between the type of network, residence place, value coherence and lifestyle. But there is a meaningful relationship between variables of gender, education, relationship coherence, social accumulation, and relational lifestyle.

Human being according to his inherent nature has always been seeking to distinguish himself from others and be immortal. So, authenticity and identity is one of the cases which in many scientific fields related to human being, Such as architecture and urbanism, has been regarded. Because they directly are affected by human toughts and beliefs. Characteristics that arise from the beliefs and imperatives originated from being Iranian and Islamic; are the main identity factors for Tehran city so for understanding the changes in Tehran identity we should know the factors which make the identity. In this article, after examining the meaning of identity from viewpoint of scientists and urban planners; we express the characteristics which makes Tehran Islamic and Iranian.Presence or absence of these features in traditional and contemporary period, would suggest us how is the evolution of Tehran’s Islamic Iranian identity over time. Comparing the Islamic and Iranian identity factors in two monumental buildings in Tehran, makes the cognition of the identity changes more reachable.
