Abstract

 After the closure of the Central National Library of Iran and with the rising importance of the Constitutional Revolution, a group of intellectuals decided to establish a new library. This library, named the Tehran National Library, was inaugurated in 1324 AH and ceased operations after two years and five months, coinciding with the cannon fire on the Majlis (parliament). The author of this article discusses the establishment process, founding members, donors and benefactors, the catalog of donated books, and the reasons behind the library's closure.
