Abstract

The purpose of this study was to recognize and analyse the factors that influence SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE as practiced by women farmer in Bandar-e Anzali township in that is focusing on indigenous knowledge's rice-field. The research is descriptive-analytic and was performed with a relative–causal method in 1385 years. In this study, researcher was selected 4 village out of 38 villages in Lijareky-e Hasanroud and Chaharfarizeh county. The population of this study for qualitative phase consists a number of highest experience FARMER WOMEN in each village. Also, for quantitative phase, the population consists rice-field women, over 25 years old (N=3049). In this research, 275 people were randomly selected with systematic sampling method. The descriptive findings of this study showed that the FARMER WOMEN's PARTICIPATION in different rice-field activities was considerable and even in some of cases is highest than men. In total, they are observing SUSTAINABILITY criteria in agriculture. There exists positive correlation (p=%99) between age, years of experience in rice-field, the amount of rice production, rice-field size, the amount of social PARTICIPATION, rice-field annual income ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS with observing SUSTAINABILITY criteria in agriculture. But there exists negative correlation (p=%99) between the amount of rice-field PARTICIPATION and number of household members with observing SUSTAINABILITY criteria in agriculture.
