Abstract

This research was done to determine the relationship between grain YIELD and agronomic traits in RICE through PATH ANALYSIS to achieve an appropriate model selection, in order to improve grain YIELD was conducted on the basis of other traits. In this study, 11 RICE cultivars in a RCBD with three replications were studied. The results showed significant and positive relationship between grain YIELD and harvest index, biological YIELD, number of panicles per square meter, number of panicles per plant there. Also non-significant negative CORRELATION between grain YIELD and ear length and half the primary source limitation by eliminating clusters were observed. According to the direct effects of PATH ANALYSIS, a strong and significant from the harvest index (0.976), biological YIELD (0.911) and number of panicles per square meter (0.845) on grain YIELD were observed.
