A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE ROLE OF (MAR - DRAGON) IN THE CAUCASUS AND ANATOLIA RUGS

Abstract

 The present study both history and culture of the region (The Caucasus and Anatolia) - Bafthhay taking one of them - and some of the common and distinguishing their case is investigated. What this study is concerned, the emphasis on a particular type called the woven (kilim) are the result of matching, implies the existence of similar cases in the visual quality of the woven such a role (Mar-dragon) and the geometric mode, this role can be more visible. Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia in the Caucasus states comprise most of the old hand-woven area rugs in the world known as the fabric is made. The relationship between the motifs used in the rugs of the Caucasus and Anatolia there? Causes of the differences and similarities of motifs (Mar - dragon) in the Caucasus and the ANATOLIAN Kilim is?
