Abstract

Applying updated and practical information with effective informing services by extension experts plays key role in appropriate utilization of production factors. Hence, this study was conducted to the purpose of investigating ATTITUDE of AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION EXPERTs towards using CELL PHONE in extension activities in KHORASAN RAZAVI province. This research regarding the goal is applied, gathering data is non-experimental (descriptive) and regarding the method is correlation. The statistical population consisted of 333 AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION EXPERTs in KHORASAN RAZAVI. Using proportionate stratified random sampling technique, 126 extension experts (by Cochran formula) were selected. Validity of Questionnaire was done by comments of the agricultural extension and education professors, Tarbiat Modares University; Tehran University after several stages of revision and Reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by calculating Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient (0/.89 =a). Correlation analysis showed statistically significant and positive relationship between the dependent variable of expert’s ATTITUDE and the independent variables of age, number of years of ownership CELL PHONE, rate of CELL PHONE coverage in rural areas, extent of using CELL PHONE in extension activities and perception on factors driving applying of CELL PHONEs in agricultural extension activities. The results of stepwise multiple regressions analysis indicated that variables "extent of using CELL PHONE in extension activities" "perception on factors driving applying of CELL PHONEs in agricultural extension activities" "number of years of ownership CELL PHONE" and "rate of CELL PHONE coverage in rural areas" determined 20.5 percent of the variations variable ATTITUDE of experts towards using CELL PHONE in agricultural extension activities.
