Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing on ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION of agricultural students in Islamic Azad University, science and research branch in Tehran. Entrepreneurship is a process that leads to create significant opportunities for educated people in order to gain the financial and economic independence through increasing innovations and new opportunities for business. The statistical population of this study included 1830 of master and PhD students in agricultural field which, 146 of them were selected through a proportional stratified sampling. The latent variables that influencing on ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONs were as follows: entrepreneurial skills, SELF-EFFICACY, attitude toward entrepreneurship, psychological traits and SOCIAL NORMS. A questionnaire was developed to collect data. Validity of the questionnaire confirmed by experts and reliability measured by using Cronbach alpha (max=95% & min=78%). The results indicated that, the ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION among agricultural students was in the medium level. Based on the findings from Structural Equation Model and AMOS18 software the order of latent variables impact on ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION were: entrepreneurial skills with 63%, SELF-EFFICACY with 44%, attitude toward entrepreneurship with 38%, psychological traits with 11% And SOCIAL NORMS with 0.08% that could predicted the variance of entrepreneurship intention. Also social support and PERCEIVED DESIRABILITY not effect on ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION and MODEL ROLE had negative effect on ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION. At the end proposals were submitted for more persuasion on ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION of students to educational planners.
