Abstract

The main objective of this article is to present the results of a study done about the impact of agricultural extension and education in farming practices of COTTON farmers in the GARMSAR town ship. The research design was a descriptive and causal relationship method. COTTON farmers in GARMSAR township who cultivated COTTON were the target population for this study. A random sample of COTTON farmers selected from GARMSAR township (n=101). The main results of the study revealed that relationship between income, crop yield, education level and social participation with AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION AND EDUCATION PRACTICES was significant. Regression analysis show that the variable of extension had 47/9% of variance related to COTTON yield that the included the problems communicated to authorities, reducing loss, and need assessment of COTTON Farmers about the producing, transferring and providing technology, and giving essential advices for mechanization.
