Abstract

For a period of two years a total number of 403 CATTLE 417 BUFFALOes, 381 sheep and 214 goats of different ages and sexes were examined for eyeworm infestation at Urmia abattoir. THELAZIA RHODESII and T. lacrymalis were found in CATTLE and BUFFALOes, while T. rhodesii was the most prevalent species. The rate of infestation in the CATTLE and BUFFALOes eyes was 16.12% and 1.62% respectively. No infestation were observed in examined sheep and goats.
