Abstract

Sarcocytosis is a zoonotic disease with SARCOCYSTIS spp as causative agent which has been reported from most areas of the world. In this survey, 120 samples of minced beef MEAT were sampled and examined using DIGESTION METHOD described by Dubey. The results showed that 112 out of 120 (93.33%) samples were infected with SARCOCYSTIS protozoa. The present survey was performed in SANANDAJ city, Kordestan province and according to results and concerning to high rate of infection, it is necessary to pay more attention to MEAT hygienic control by local veterinary organization.
