Abstract

This research has conducted to evaluate the effect of L-LYSINE complement on COMMON CARP (Cyprinus carpio) as a food attractant during 8 weeks on summer of 2012 in Aquacultural Education and Research Center (AERC). 204 individuals of COMMON CARP by the weight of 18.12±3 g and density of 17/tank fed in fiberglass tanks. Four treatments of different levels of l-lysin including 0 (control), 0.5, 1 and 1.5 percent added to diet. At the final growth and feeding indices including final weight, food conversion ratio, specific growth rate, SURVIVAL rate and body composition. According to the results of this study significance difference observed in growth parameters (p<0.05). In some feeding parameters including daily feed intake (daily percentage) and FCR significant difference observed among treatments (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in SURVIVAL rate (p>0.05). There was significant difference in protein, fat and ash of all treatment carcasses (p<0.05). Treatment of 1% contained the highest protein (p<0.05). Totally considering no significant differences in most parameters L-LYSINE is not recommended to improve the growth and surviving juvenile COMMON CARP.
