Abstract

 An easy and highly ecient ONE-POT, three-component synthesis of RHODANINEs is reported. The reaction of primary amines, CARBON DISUL DE and chloroacetyl chloride proceeded in the absence of solvent and catalyst, to aord 2-thioxothiazolidin-4-ones in good to excellent yields.
