Abstract

IntroductionThe analysis of the flowing water over a dam spillway and in the STILLING BASIN using physical models is time consuming and costly. Fast development of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in recent years promotes the wider use of numerical models for practical applications. The numerical simulation of the flow-field in the STILLING BASIN using FlOW-3D is presented in this paper.
