Abstract

For studying protein electrophoretic pattern of CORYNEBACTERIUM PSEUDOTUBERCULOSIS, this study was conducted on 16 bacteria isolated from ovine caseous lymphadenitis, and they were compared with C. pseudotuberculosis isolated from CATTLE. All of microbial specimens underwent electrophoresis in SDS - PAGE method in the presence of low molecularly weight (LMWM) protein marker on discrete system gel % 5 - 10polyacrylamid. Totally 17 protein bands with molecular weight ranging 25- 220 KDA were observed in the understudied bacteria. As a result, the proteins31,53,64, and 68 KDA were identified in all strains of nitrate positive and negative bacteria, proteins 37, 38 KDA in biotype II , nitrate positive (isolated from CATTLE) and proteins 25, 35, 39, 40, 48 and 120KDA in biotype I , nitrate negative C.pseudotuberculosis (isolated from SHEEP).
