Abstract

QFD is a powerful tool to translate Voice of Customer to technical specifications and hence can help organizations in a systematic way to determine necessities for design criteria to achieve customer satisfaction. The importance of design needs is determined with help of first matrix of QFD. Since in QFD process most information is in the form of attributes and it is difficult to quantify it accurately, in this paper fuzzy sets are used to quantify the attributes and in addition fuzzy outranking is used to rank design needs.
