Abstract

This paper investigates to extend the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) model for situations in which lead times for procurement the raw materials and for operations on parts are fuzzy. Reviewing the classical MRP, we address the main weaknesses of MRP in crisp conditions. The MRP models developed in UNCERTAINTY situations are also reviewed. Finally, a fuzzy MRP model is developed using FUZZY LEAD TIMES. Considering an example, the proposed model is described.
