Teachers’ Narrations of Students’ Perceptions of Persian Books in the Second Grade of Elementary School

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to investigate the teachers’ narratives of studentsperceptions of Persian books’ stories in the second grade of elementary school. Theresearch method was a qualitative phenomenological one. Participants in the study were 32 primary school teachers in Sirjan in the academicyear 1398-1399 who were selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected using semi-structured in-depth interviews and analyzed in two stages of open andaxial codings. Out of the 48 conceptual codes of the research findings, regardingthe central codes related to the absolute understanding of presentation features, learner features, writing style, literary arrays, grammar, learner activity, story type, text presentation and application story can be drawn. The results showed that studentsperception of Persian books’ stories depended on several factors.
