Abstract

One area of efforts to bridge the gap between face-to-face and virtual education after the outbreak of Covid 19 is the issues facing teachers' professional development. This research is a descriptive-survey type. Its population was all primary school teachers in District 2 of Karaj. Using Morgan table, 64 people were selected based on simple random sampling and they were asked to complete the relevant questionnaire. Since the questionnaire was designed based on the factors identified in the research background, the validity of its content was reviewed and approved by several university professors. The analysis of the results showed that the five factors of structural barriers, lack of appropriate motivational system, poor management, lack of virtual education and lack of necessary training were the main barriers to professional development of teachers.
