Abstract

 The present article is a brief review of the importance of preserving and using Private documents in the historygraphy of Qajar period. Since the structure of government in Iran during the Qajar period, except in few cases, did not have a central archive, the collection and use of Private documents surviving from that period can be useful for a better understanding of the history of Iran at that time.
