Abstract: 

Recently, desert and desertification issues are known as one of the most problem in most countries especially developing countries. With an attention to the natural resources of Iran we can concluded that the most of Iranian lands are classified as deserts. Desert scientists believe that in addition to natural factors, human factors has a significant and important role in desertification. As natural factors are the most of the desertification criteria, models of desertification potential assessment are provided locally. In this time, using of desertification models is the best method for assessment of effective factors on land degradation and desertification severity from experts viewing. Despite of models abundance, one model is the best that has adapted considering to environmental and human conditions. To assess desertification, various research done in outside and inside of Iran. Zehtabian et al (2008) was evaluated soil and water criteria base on Medalus methodology in Ain-e- Khosh’s Dehloran and presented desertification map at the end of research. Desertification intensity class is critical for the entire region based on desertification map. Shakerian et al., (2012)  Evaluated desertification intensity in Jarghooyeh region, based on IMDPA model.their results showed that, this area classified in low class of desertification. According to the new definition of Desert, more parts of Iran encounter desertification problem. In order to challenging with desertification, it is necessary to do some scientific research and assessment in different parts of the country. The results may help to control and reduce the damages resulted from this phenomenon. The aim of this research would be the effects of climate indicator on desertification with method Iranian Model (IMDPA) in central part of Iran.

Abstract: 

Aim: The present paper is the result of a research which aimed to review the current level of support and training provided for the reference management software by academic libraries. Method: The data was gathered on the basis of a survey of Iranian universities’ websites. Findings: The results reveal that in about 50 percent of Iranian universities, there is no information about RMS at their websites at all. In less than half of the remaining 39 universities, central library is responsible for introducing and training of citations and RMS. Deputy of research and faculty scholarly associations have been other organizers of RMS training. Furthermore, the results show that more than 90 percent of universities perform their training in face to face format only. EndNote is the only citation management software supported approximately by all universities. Teaching other RMS, such as Mendeley or Zotero, has been very limited. Conclusion: Authors suggest that librarians themselves get instruction on using citation management tools to be able to teach library users. Also, there is a need for providing online tutorials on RMSs.

Abstract: 

Background and aim: Nowadays, many of the databases provide Citation Management Softwares for researchers in order to facilitate the research. The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of using citation management softwares in available databases of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.Material and methods: This study is an applied research, which has been carried out using survey method. The statistical population of this research involves 20 available databases of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Data was collected through direct observation, inserted into the statistical software Excel and analyzed due to research targets.Findings: The results showed that among the twenty studied databases, Oxford Journals database obtained the first rank, regarding the rate of using the softwares with usage of 100 percent. PubMed, Thieme Medical Journals and Cochrane Library databases had the lowest rate of using the software (14 percent). Among the range of softwares used, EndNote and Ref Works softwares obtaining the first rank, having the most usage (65 percent) among the studied databases. But Zotero and Mendeley software were used only in 3 databases (15 percent).Conclusion: The amount of the application of citation management softwares varies in different databases. In most databases, citation management softwares was used, but in some databases, citation management softwares was not used.

نرم افزارLimdep  یک برنامه رایانه ای برای تخمین و تحلیل مدل های رگرسیونی و نیز مدل های دارای متغیرهای وابسته کیفی و یا محدود شده است. تاکنون برنامه ای که نسبت به این برنامه تنوع بیشتری از لحاظ چهارچوب های مدلبندی، ابزارها و مشخصات تحلیل داده های مقطعی، سری زمانی وPanel را در تحلیل مدل های یاد شده حاصل نماید، ارایه نشده است. نویسنده این برنامه ویلیام اچ. گرین از اقتصاددانان برجسته دانشگاه نیویورک امریکا است. نسخه تحت ویندوز این برنامه متناسب با ویندوز95، 98وNT بوده و به لحاظ سیستم عملیاتی و تصویری خاص برنامه در محیط ویندوز جالب توجه می باشد. این برنامه با ویندوز سازگار نیست. افزون براین، این برنامه 16 مگا بایت حافظه احتیاج داشته و تقریبا 5 تا 6 مگا بایت از دیسک سخت رایانه را اشتغال می کند.

Abstract: 

This article introduces MarcEdit software. MarcEdit is a metadata editing software suite used primarily to create and manipulate MARC records. Originally developed by Terry Reese in 1999 for a major database cleanup project at Oregon State University. MarcEdit is a metadata editor: a suite of tools designed around the specific types of metadata currently in use by libraries. The tool has grown to include the capacity to create, edit, and transform much of the non-MARC metadata used by libraries. This article attempts to show some of the important features of this software.

Abstract: 

برنامه آموزشی فعلی دوره کارشناسی مهندسی نرم افزار در آبان 1377 از سوی شورای عالی برنامه ریزی وزارت علوم، تحقیقات و فناوری به تصویب رسید. اکنون بیش از یک دهه تصویب این برنامه آموزشی و ورود فارغ التحصیلان آن به صنعت نرم افزار ایران می گذرد؛ از طرفی شاهد سریعترین میزان رشد علم و فناوری در حوزه نرم افزار نیز هستیم. این مقاله برآنست که دریابد این برنامه آموزشی تا چه اندازه نیازمندیهای فعلی و آینده این صنعت را هدف قرار داده است. برای رسیدن به این مهم، نیازهای مدیران صنعت نرم افزار را در سه حوزه فنی، غیرفنی و نیازهای آینده صنعت جویا شده و این نیازها را با دانش و توانایی های تازه فارغ التحصیلان دوره کارشناسی این رشته مقایسه نموده که مشخص گردیده عموما با هم سازگار نیستند. در پایان نیز پیشنهاداتی بر اساس نیازهای مشخص شده ارائه گردید.

Abstract: 

Nowadays the use of statistical software is obvious to conduct scientific research. Select statistical software according to moral considerations requires payment of fees. In this paper investigates a number of free statistical software (Such: Dap, Dataplot, Gnumeric, MicrOsiris, OpenEpi, OpenStat, PAST, PSPP, R, Salstat, SOFA, SSP, Statist, Tanagra, WebStat, WinIDAMS). Legally use the software at no charge and the results are published. The results of this study show the advantage of statistical software (R) than other free programs by their ability to function, restriction and public acceptance in use for publication of research papers.
