Abstract:

The ablation technique is one of important therapeutic intervention for treatment of AV Nodal tachyarrhythmia. Different animal models have been developed for studying effects of ablation on the functional inter nodal structure. The aim of present study was to develop new model of computer analysis to produce local and specific lesions by using direct voltage inisolated perfused rabbit AV-Node. The model of Superfused-perfused isolated AV-Node of rabbit was used in our Study. Posterior nodal extension (slow pathway) and anterior nodal approaches (fast pathway) was ablated by using direct voltage (100-110 V) in 30 sec. All stimulation protocol and computer analysis was done by customade software that has been written in the Electrophysiology laboratory of Golestan Heart Research Center of slow and pathway. All protocols were done in 2 groups (5 rabbit in each group). All Data shown as Mean±SE. His deflection was deflected by software (AVNode pack) and nodal recovery curved was drawn on line. Draw by using these curves. We could precisely predict the place of nodal ablation. Slow pathway ablation caused significant ERP an AH max prolongation and fast pathway ablation caused significant AH min prolongation. Histology examination confirmed the ablation results. In conclusion, this is a new method for inducing specific lesion in AN-nodal pathways. Changing dynamic electrophysiological behavior of nodal after ablation is a important index for predication of outcome of ablation.
