Abstract: 

This study is concerned with the synthesis and characterization of new Conductive polymer films (3830 µs/cm) poly 6-((1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)carbamoyl) cyclohex-3-ene-1-carboxylic acid (PDPC) on the surface of low carbon steel electrode (L.C.S), which were synthesized starting from 6-((1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)carbamoyl) cyclohex-3-ene-1-carboxylic acid (DPC) as a monomer by electropolymerization method. Also, the ability of this polymeric coating to protect the surface from corrosion was tested in a saline solution 3.5% NaCl at various temperatures ranging from (298 to 328)K using a potentiostat that measures the corrosion rate by plotting Tafel lines. The new polymer-nanocomposites were also synthesized by adding nanometal-oxides: Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) or Magnesium oxide (MgO) to the monomer solution to improve the anticorrosion properties of the prepared polymeric films. The functional groups, phase composition, and morphology of the prepared coatings were investigated using a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The examination of kinetic and thermodynamic activation parameters  (Ea, A, ΔH*, and ΔS*) showing data results that the activation energies of L.C.S corrosion increased after coating due to the increasing energy barrier for the corrosion process and the best protection efficiency was 90.4 % at 298 K in case of using PDPC-ZrO2 nanocomposite as a coating.

Abstract: 

Statement of Problem: The pulp may be exposed during remove of caries or by traumatic and iatrogenic injuries. The material used to DPC, must be biocompatible, sealable and prevent bacterial leakage. Furthermore, it is better to stimulate dentinogenesis. Calcium hydroxide is most usual material for DPC. But it cannot provide a suitable biologic seal. Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is also a suitable material for DPC.Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the clinical success of DPC done with MTA or calcium hydroxide cement. Materials and Methods: In this study eighteen posterior teeth without previous spontaneous pain that involved mechanically exposure was randomly selected and capped with MTA or calcium hydroxide.These teeth were evaluated by clinical vitality test and radiograph after 3 and 12 months, and patients were questioned about irritative or spontaneous pain in this period. Statistical analysis was carried out by fisher exact test (α=0.05).Results: This study showed that in calcium hydroxid groud three had irreversible pulpitis and two teeth had symptom and signs of reversible pulpitis, While, In MTA group all cases were normal, and no clinical sign was evident. Conclusion: MTA exhibited better results than calcium hydroxide cement for the capping of the pulp in human.

Abstract: 

In this paper, a novel switching table (ST) of the twelve sectors direct power command (DPC) strategy of doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based dual rotor wind power (DRWP) is proposed using two-level hysteresis controllers for the reactive and active power and feedforward neural networks (FNNs) algorithms. This intelligent technique is used to replace the conventional ST in order to reduce the rotor flux ripple, active power ripple, total harmonic distortion (THD) of stator voltage, torque, and reactive power undulations. The simulation and modeling of the proposed strategy are carried out in the Matlab software. DFIG is tested in association with the DRWP system. The simulation results obtained show that DPC with FNN controller (DPC-FNN) reduce the THD values of the stator voltage, rotor flux undulation, active/reactive power undulation, and electromagnetic torque ripple compared to the conventional DPC strategy. According to the results obtained, the current waveform becomes purely sinusoidal with a reduction in the THD rate to 0. 64%.

Abstract: 

Objective(s): Establishing a proper relationship between patient and physician is an essential component of quality medical care and effective communication plays an important role in health system. This study was conducted to investigate the psychometric properties of the DPC for doctor-patient communication skill assessment scale in acute and critical conditions in Iran. Methods: In this study, the Persian version of the physician-patient relationship assessment scale in acute and critical conditions was used. The statistical population included patients referring to the hospitals affiliated to the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Based on the inclusion criteria, (n=380) were selected by convenience sampling method. After translation and adaptation; face and content validity, reliability and structural validity (confirmatory factor analysis) were used. Results: Out of 380 participants in the study, 233 (61. 3%) were female and 147 (38. 7%) were male. More than half of participants 198 (52. 1%) had a secondary education and 315 (82. 9%) were employed. The content validity ratio according to experts’ panel was 0. 99. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that of all 15 items were loaded with a factor loading above 0. 4 and the scale had a good fit in Iranian society. Reliability was 0. 96 using Cronbach's alpha and 0. 9 using test retest analysis. Conclusion: The Iranian version of doctor-patient communication for skill assessment in acute and critical conditions showed good validity and reliability. By using the scale health system managers can recognize the strengths and weaknesses of communication skill and based on, they can design appropriate interventions.

Abstract: 

This paper proposes a novel wind energy conversion system based on a Fivephase Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Generator (5-PMSG) and a Five to three Matrix Converter (5-3MC). The low cost and volume and also eliminating grid side converter controller are attractive aspects of the proposed topology compared to the conventional with back-to-back converters. The control of active and reactive power injected to the grid from the proposed system is carried out by a Direct Power Control (DPC) combined with a Space Vector Modulation (SVM). An advantage of this control, compared with the Conventional Direct Power Control (C-DPC) method, is that it eliminates the lookup table and lowers grid powers and currents harmonics through the use of a standard PI controller instead of hysteresis comparators. The efficiency of proposed whole system has been simulated by using MATLAB/Simulink environment.

Abstract: 

Signaling is the most important part of telecommunication networks and Signaling Number 7 is the most used signaling protocol for telephone calls all over the world. Planning of signaling network is very important for reliable PSTN (Public Switch Telephone Network) operation. One of the important issues in planning signaling networks is the distribution of signaling load on signaling links and linksets. Loadsharing of signaling links in SS7 network is done according to ITU-T standards by four bits of SLS (Signaling Link Selection) field of SS7 messaging unit. Maximum number of simultaneous SS7 links between two SPs (Signaling Point) is 16 links. For having redundancy there is two linksets connecting two SPs through STPs (Signal Transfer Point).In this case each linkset can have maximum 8 SS7 links. This paper at first explains the fundamental of signaling loadsharing according to ITU-T standards and its limitation then recommends a new method for overcoming 8 links limit in each linkset by dividing DPCs (Destination Point Codes) into two groups. By reversing the order of SS7 signal routing of two DPC groups in each linkset, it is possible to equally distribute signaling load to 16 links in each linkset (totally 32 equally loadhsared links in two linksets). The advantage of new suggested method is to increase efficiency and to overcome existing ITU-T standards limitation. By using this method, there is no need to upgrade to MPC (Multiple Point Code) or any other software patch. The results of practical implementation of mentioned method are included in paper.

Abstract: 

In this paper voltage source converter based HVDC (VSC-HVDC) is used for power transmission in asynchrony distribution systems. Direct power control (DPC) of three-phase space vector modulation (SVM) is employed for this control scheme. It is economically motivated to replace the AC line voltage sensors with a virtual flux (VF) estimator. The control system is resistant to the majority of line voltage disturbances using by the idea of virtual flux. It is also effective to damp system oscillations and enhance power quality when power flow is reversed. Superior advantages of this method are good dynamic response and unity power factor of rectifier.

Abstract: 

Active filters are effective for eliminating harmonic currents and improving reactive power due to nonlinear loads and unbalanced sources. In this paper an effective and new method for Control of active filter is investigated. Direct Power Control (DPC) with space vector modulation is employed for this control scheme. Also, the AC line voltage sensors with a virtual flux (VF) estimator are replaced. The control system is resistant to the majority of line voltage disturbances using by the idea of virtual flux and synchronous double reference frame phase-locked loop (SDRF-PLL) approach. Superior advantages of this method are simple algorithm, good dynamic response, constant switching frequency and resistant to the majority of line voltage disturbances. The operation of proposed control strategy is verified in SIMULINK/MATLAB simulation environment. The simulations show that this active filter is effective for eliminating reactive power injected from nonlinear loads and unbalanced sources. (NF) of low noise amplifier (LNA) are compared with each other.

Abstract: 

Active filters have proven to be more effective than passive techniques to improve power quality and to solve harmonic and power factor problems due to nonlinear loads. This paper proposes a control scheme based on the instantaneous active and reactive power. The inverter of this active filter is a three-phase, two-level converter. Space vector technique is used as modulators and pattern generators for the Pulse Width Modulated converter. Virtual Flux and a Phase Locked Loop based on a Double Synchronous Reference Frame cause this control system be resistant to the majority of line voltage disturbances. Good dynamic response, independent control of active and reactive powers and also unity power factor of converter are advantages of the proposed method. The operation of the proposed control strategy is verified in MATLAB simulation environment.

Abstract: 

Date Press Cake (DPC) is a by-product of date fruit juicing, which has remained mostly underutilized in food products. The main objective of this research was to investigate the viability of adding DPC in cake formulation. Thus, different levels (0, 10, 20, 30, and 40%) and particle sizes (210 μ m= DPC210 and 500 μ m= DPC500) of DPC were used in cake formulation. The results showed that DPC had higher fiber, ash, and fat content than cake flour. Increasing the level and reducing the particle size of DPC increased batter consistency, firmness, stickiness, cohesiveness and viscosity. Inclusion of DPC increased cake density, reduced pH and crust moisture content, but these were not affected by DPC particle size. The samples became harder and less cohesive as the level of DPC increased. DPC210 resulted in softer and less cohesive cakes compared to the DPC500. Addition of DPC improved the antioxidant content of the cakes, particularly when DPC210 was added. Overall, the sample produced with 10% DPC210 had acceptable sensory characteristics.
