Abstract:

Expert system as a branch of artificial intelligence makes extensive use of specialized knowledge to solve problems at the level of a human expert. The solution process of a human expert consists of a series of sequential rules and heuristics. In fact, an expert system is a computer system, which emulentes the decision making ability of a human expert. This paper develops an expert system to advice students during course enrolment. The proposed expert system is called EDU-FES and written by Clips. EDU-EB Sreceives information regarding the courses passed, average grades in the last terms (or sessions), the desirable days to attend in classrooms, and gives the suitable advises as a human advisor to students for selection of a weekly schedule. The knowledge base of EDU-FES is formed by expertise acquired from academic staff, and formal regulations. It produces several alternative plans and ranks them based on difficulty criterion in fuzzy environment. Considering other students criteria, it finds the best plan using the Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) model. The experiments conducted show the capability and profitability of the proposed expert system.

FUZZY CONTROL OF ROWING EXERCISE USING FUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION (FES) CONCERNS ANKLE, KNEE AND HIP JOINTS. MUSCULAR MODELING FOR EACH JOINT MAY CONTAIN TWO GROUPS OF MUSCLES, NAMELY EXTENSION AND FLEXION. IN THE PROPOSED METHOD, JOINT CONTROLLERS PROVIDE ELECTRICAL STIMULATION PULSES TO THE APPROPRIATE MUSCLE GROUP BASED ON THE TRAJECTORY ERROR AND ACCORDING TO A PRESCRIBED PATTERN DESIGNED FOR ROWING EXERCISE. RESULTS INDICATE THAT THE SIMULATED FUZZY CONTROL OF DESIRED ANGLES CLOSELY MATCH THE EXPERIMENTAL VALUES FOR PRESCRIBED JOINTS. MOREOVER, THE ROBUSTNESS OF THE CONTROLLER IN PRESENCE OF EXTERNAL DISTURBANCE IS EXAMINED AND THE RESULTS SHOW THAT THE TRACKING OF EACH JOINT ANGLE IS APPROPRIATE.

Abstract:

FES is one of the most important, most distinctive and most influential capitals in the Islamic civilization in al-Maghreb al-Aqsa, established by Idris-ibne-Idriss-ibne-Abdullah (803-828 AD) in the middle of the year 808-809 AD. The cultural and civilization influence level of FES in al-Maghreb al-Aqsa is determined by some factors such as its deep and precise location. Accordingly, this research tries to examine the geographical and political factors influencing this location. The results of the research show that the political and geographical threats and deterrents inside and outside the sovereignty led Idris II to transfer his capital from the remote and non-strategic city “ Walilay” as the political center of the barbarians of Urabeh near the realm of Umayyad of al-Andalus to the central place at the heart of al-Maghreb al-Aqsa. In this regard, he could find a relative security, in addition to getting away from the center of the ambitious chiefs of Urabeh tribal and settling in an independent capital with a new structure and nature against the possible attacks of Umayyads of al-Andalus (756-1031 AD). By deployingin the middle of al-Maghreb al-Aqsa observing important and strategic areas of al-Maghreb al-Aqsa and al-Maghreb al-Awsat, and movements of rival regimes such as Benurustam (778-909 AD) and Benuemedrar (823-977 AD), he was able to monitor parts of the Atlantic. In this location, enjoying a privileged position in commercial and strategic planning, a privileged environment and defensive issues were taken to achieve a lasting and influential capital.

Introduction: Utilizing Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and rehabilitation robots for motion control is an open research problem. In this paper, a new control algorithm has been proposed which was de-signed based on a combination of FES and an active mechanical actuator to control the knee joint movement. Methods: An adaptive controller and a Proportional-Derivative (PD) controller have adjusted the mo-tor torque and stimulation intensity, respectively. The FES controller was activated whenever a dis-turbance observer detected the presence of the external disturbance. In this manner, the occurrence of the muscle fatigue arises from the FES can be postponed. Results: The simulation studies were carried out on a model of muscle-joint system along with a model of a servo-motor. The computed RMS of the tracking errors compared to the range of knee motion show that the tracking performance is acceptable. In this research, the trajectories envisioned as the knee joint reference trajectory were designed using the recorded human data. Conclusion: The achieved results prove the ability of the proposed control strategy to not only reject the external disturbance but also compensate the muscle fatigue.

Abstract:

In this paper, photocatalytic activity of mechanothermally synthesized Fe-39%FES nanostructured composite powder is investigated. Fe and S powders mixture with atomic ratio of 2: 1 (Fe: S) is mechanically activated and then heat treated at 850◦C for 2 h. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) and UV-vis spectroscopy are applied for characterization of composite powder. XRD results are shown that Fe-FES powder was synthesized successfully. FESEM images showed that powder with the size of less than 2 μm is formed after heat treatment. Also, the effect of pH as an effective factor is investigated. It can be seen that the degradation efficiency in basic solution is higher than acidic and neutral solution. Dyes degradation reached to 91% after 195 min irradiation of visible light in pH=11. In addition, kinetic study showed that the photocatalytic dedradation is initially (0-75 min) followed by first order model and after that the mechanism is possibly changed to the second order model.

Abstract:

Tidal field data is very important in the coastal engineering research such as developing beaches, calibration Numerical hydrodynamic models, hydrography, sediment transport and other things. The aim of this study is evaluating and Validating numerical hydrodynamic modeling by using field measurements of tidal Measuring stations and finding a level tidal model in the Persian Gulf, so we used bathymetry data and coastline one year data of tidal measuring in ten stations in the Persian Gulf also we used windfield GFS. We could simulation tidal current by FM[1] Software MIKE21 with regular mesh structure and considering astronomical forces. The result were validate with measurement results of tidal stations. The next step was to be extract tidal components and then simulating tidal current in the Persian Gulf by using MIKE model which have adaptation with field data in tidal measurment Stations. In the final stage using Matlabsoftware by Global model FES. Results of tidal analys which is obtained from oceanic tidal Gobal model with the results of measurement stations was assessment. The results show that in the area which is studid tidal Global model factors in coastal and shallow area have difference with tidal factors in meaurment stations, but the difference in deep area is less adaptation between than shallow area observed. 1-Flow Model

Abstract:

A CONTROL STRATEGY BASED ON MACHINE LEARNING TECHNIQUES IS PRESENTED, FOR GAIT CORRECTION IN UNILATERAL DROP FOOT, USING FUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION (FES). IN THE PRESENTED STRATEGY, THE ELECTRICAL STIMULATION INTENSITY FOR THE DISABLED TIBIALIS ANTERIOR (TA) MUSCLE IS CONTROLLED, CONSIDERING THE EXISTING COORDINATION PATTERNS BETWEEN ACTIVITIES OF THE IPSILATERAL ANKLE TA MUSCLE, AND THE CONTRALATERAL ANKLE PLANTARFLEXOR (GASTROCNEMIUS(GC)) MUSCLES DURING NORMAL GAIT. THE COORDINATION PATTERNS DESCRIBE THE QUALITY OF SIMULTANEOUS TA AND GC MUSCLES ACTIVATION, IN THE OPPOSITE LEGS. THEREFORE IN THIS PAPER, A NARX NEURAL NETWORK HAS BEEN TRAINED USING THE HYBRID LMA-PSO TRAINING METHOD, TO FORECAST TH  DISABLED TA MUSCLE ACTIVITY BASED ON THE INPUT FROM THE HEALTHYCALF MUSCLE OF THE OPPOSITE LEG. THE PREDICTED TA ACTIVATION IS THEN USED TO CONTROL THE TA MUSCLE FES INTENSITY IN REAL TIME. SEVEN HEALTHY VOLUNTEERS PARTICIPATED IN THE EXPERIMENTS. SURFACE ELECTROMYOGRAM WAS RECORDED FROM TA AND CALF MUSCLE SIMULTANEOUSLY ON THE OPPOSITE LEGS WHILE WALKING IN DIFFERENT GAIT FREQUENCIES. RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE CONTROLLER ARE QUITE PROMISING AND SHOW IMPRESSIVE GENERALIZATION ABILITY BETWEEN SUBJECTS.
