With over two decades passing since the establishment of science and technology parks, and the experience gained from it, along with the environmental changes brought about by emerging technologies, there has been a shift in the country's public policy towards knowledge-based industries and fostering innovation. This has led to the creation of various institutions in this field, including funds, financial institutions, accelerators, and university science and technology campuses. As a result, there is a need to reevaluate the mission and structure of science and technology parks. This article aims to explore the current mission, function, and structure of science and technology parks, reflecting their role in technology policy (Mirroring role in technology policy). It will then propose a new mission, function, and structure based on emerging technologies, the country's technology policy, and the existing institutions. The research methodology includes a review of literature, documents, and interviews with experts. Key questions addressed in this article include: What is the current mission, function, and structure of science and technology parks, and what should it be in the future? What should be the organizational structure of the park? How much of it should be publicly funded versus privately funded? And how should the park interact with other existing institutions? The results showed that based on emerging technologies and the system of parks issues and comprehensive performance evaluation model, the mission of the park should be changed from supporting the creation of technological companies to expanding the innovation Ecothon in society and strengthening the economic and social effect of advanced technologies with the participation of the government, private sector, industry and society. Also, more attention should be paid to providing services (instead of just support), increasing the role of the private sector while increasing government activities, and increasing the share of society and industry as effective, along with increasing the share of government and universities. For this purpose, there is a need to establish a Technology Research and Development Center (TRDC) by drafting a law related to the research faculty and the technology faculty, technologists' club, mega projects office, technology services campus and innovation district and multi-tenancy.
