Introduction & Objective: Since 1969, Committee on Young Surgeons (CYS) have started to improve the educational condition and some other purposes for young surgeon in USA. For some years educational committee and scientific director of IRAOS has raised up the feeling of needs for a young surgeons committee and for selecting active members, a pilot study of attitude and tendency of young surgeon (<45yr) was conducted in Tehran, Iran.Material and Methods: A simple randomized cross - sectional descriptive study based on data sheet, was collected, and 122 young individuals (81 surgeons, 41 residents) in Teheran has filled our data sheets.Results: 49% of residents were in 31-35 range of age and 46% of surgeons were in 36-40 range of age. 91% of residents and 66% of surgeons had male sex. 54% of residents and 88% of surgeons had awareness from annual congress. 27% of residents and 47% of surgeons said that the advertising was enough for congress. 37% of residents and 63% of surgeons had incitation for being in congress. 30% of residents and 64% of surgeons said that they participate in these congresses. 25% of residents and 27% of surgeons have sent an article to IRAGS.Conclusions: Committee on young surgeons in IRAGS will start and these guidelines and results will help to conduct it.

Introduction: Treatment is a complicated phenomenon which is influenced by a lot of factors. An important factor which directly affects patients' treatment is the relationship between patient and physicians. This study was conducted to investigate the expectations of patients from their physicians. Methods: The target population in this cross-sectional study was all patients who, for the first time, refer to internists, psychiatrists and surgeons. Fifty patients from each group were randomly selected. Before medical examination, they completed two separate pre-designed questionnaires. The first one was a demographic questionnaire and the second one was about expectations of the patients from physicians. The collected data were analyzed using statistical test for proportions.Results: The results showed that characteristics such as age, marital status, job, number of children and income have little or no significant effect on patients' expectations from physician. The only characteristics which significantly affect their expectations were sex and education level. Providing necessary information, matching the information with their education level, spending enough time to examine patients and providing information about drug side effects were other factors which were emphasized.Conclusion: Paying attention to patients' expectations has an effective role in their recovery. It seems that physicians management during medical examination and giving more information about the disease and the medications are effective in patients' satisfaction.

In line with development of medicine and emergence of modem technologies in response to social needs as well as improvement of lifestyles, an inclination towards plastic surgery particularly in the recent years.Due to psychological motivations and integration of scientific, artistic and commercial aspects of beauty and reconstructive surgery and problems have been arisen so far. Given the peculiar feature that this type of surgery has, a serious attention is needed to be paid to physicians to their medical, professional obligations. The former one has some negative consequences such as formation of worldwide feminism and devotion of overwhelming amounts of memory for such surgeries to improve personal appearance features and that fantasy surgeries are not necessary. There are tens of other reasons that have persuaded law scientists that medical obligation is a result - based obligation and distinction of these two types of surgery is impossible or very difficult. They believe that beauty surgeon's obligation is an instrument-based.

There has been a worldwide increase of longevity in the recent decades. Statistically ischemic heart disease and other heart problems has also increased dramatically, and is said to be number one killer in industrial and semi-industrial countries. So any patient that undergoes surgery may have an active or silent coronary artery disease; this should be diagnosed and treated or guarded against preoperatively, the second distressing problem that may need treatment is pulmonary problems as the second more common postoperative complication. Other diseases that need to be recognized and treated preoperatively are diabetes mellitus; hypertension and renal disease. The increasing number of geriatric patients, besides their age; may have other comorbidities that need special attention and treatment, so is their nutritional status.Nutritional problem and cachexia makes them more susceptible to the stress and hypermetabolic state hat surgery can produce. So the surgeon should be aware of all the risks and complications that the patient can face with them.Some of the patients are on different medications that some should be continued, and some either stopped or replaced with other medications.It is quite rational that all surgeons have a good view of their patients' problems; so they could be  reated on time or be referred to other especialities for consultation and treatment. It is true that most of the patient’s comorbidities are in the field of other especialities; but the surgeon is on a whole, responsible for what happens to his patient and what would be the outcome of surgery.
