The basic politica-military literature in countries notably in academic context is far from richness and of then based on translation. Our country geographers are mainly reluctant to engage in defensive concepts and topics. It is avider however, that this fact could make a good subject - matter for research. The present paper elaborated as an initiative proposed how to fill the strategic gap is in effect a part of a fundamental research under the name of the method recognize strategic regions. The major attempt in this paper is to classify the defense TERRITORIES in extra arena and within a concrete framework corresponding with Islamic republic Iran Situation.

Abstract:

The exterritorial application of the human rights conventions is one of the key discussions in application of human rights conventions. The question is that weather the states are obliged to respect their human rights obligations when their armed forces involve in international armed conflicts and military occupations. The author believes that the human rights regulations are applicable in occupied TERRITORIES.The article considers three factors for proving this theory: first, the ratione tempori of the international humanitarian law and human rights law, second the interpretation of jurisdictional clauses of human rights conventions and the third, the role of effective control as a prerequisite for application of human rights regulations. The final outcome is that although the humanitarian law regulations governs the situations in armed conflicts and military occupations, the human rights regulations do not cease to apply in those situations, even in occupied TERRITORIES, and they cover the failures of humanitarian law in such situations.

Abstract:

Seleucids who gained power in the eastern conquered TERRITORIES of Alexander’ s empire, after his death, needed trustworthy agents to rely on in this widespread territory especially in case of emergency. To do so, the kings of this dynasty built or rebuilt many cities all around these conquered TERRITORIES including Iran, Mesopotamia and Syria. Theis made big changes such as societal, political, cultural and economic structures of their dwellers. These cities were built in accord with Greek culture and the presence of Greek and Macedonian merchants and army made a significance difference with that of the previous cities. The purpose of this research is to shed lights on the Seleucid policies regarding the conquered TERRITORIES and the influencing factors on them. This research also aims to find out whether this method affected the economic, political and even the spread of Hellenism culture? Did the Seleucid kings facilitate the migration of Greek and Macedonians by providing such amenities? Did they try to influence on the economy, policy and spread of the Hellenism? By considering these policies, one can understand that by building new cities their residents would be under the influence of Selucid government. This research was done based on library work and resource texts, historical resources and the other researches that had been done prior to this. The information has been analyzed based on scientific and argumentation methods. Therefore, Hellenism and its prevalence were the most important and major factor in the construction of these cities. The presence of the Macedonians and Greeks with the many tribes who emerged in this territory validated the centers of Hellenism and changed the way of life in these cities. These cities, with the prevalence of the culture of Hellenism, were expanding day by day and later provided a boom to their economic prosperity. The presence of merchants and Greek and Macedonian troops also has contributed to the creation of cities that had major disparities with past towns. These cities were considered important economic and cultural bases for this dynasty, and their rulers had realized the importance of these populous and lucrative cities, and these cities were structurally Greek. Since then, with the expansion of these cities, the goals of the Macedonians in changing the culture of the people through urban life have been pursued, which in fact was part of a general policy of domination and permanent presence in these lands, the most important of these goals Was the expansion of Hellenism. Therefore, the most important action of the Selucians could be the development of urbanization, and this was Alexander Macedonian policy that continued during the Selucians. All the cities of Selucid have the same shape in the form of a square or rectangular square shape, including a grid of streets and buildings. Around the main streets of these cities there were administrative buildings, temples, palaces, markets, squares, theaters, baths and so on. The findings of this research show that by building new cities in their conquered TERRITORIES, Selucids tried to gain economic, political and societal dominance along with spreading Hellenism, however in the long run they could not achieve their goal except in some cases. It can be firmly asserted that the conclusion was not that much successful for them. The people who lived in those cities could never forget their traditions and ancestral identities and after some years those traditions were revived again. Alexander and his successors, in the end, did not leave their intended trail and just some small amount of their historical remnants remained.

Abstract:

The expressions of non-existence are discussed in philosophy and linguistics since antiquity in both the West and the East. The main question in this debate pertains to how we can understand such expressions as "Rostam" in Farsi or "Superman" in English, and use them in sentences with different arrangements, while they do not refer to anything in the objective world.Different philosophers have tried to answer this question in various ways. The author of this article tries to find an answer through semantic means, and to suggest criteria for classifying such expressions.

Abstract:

Islamic Scientists define "science of jurisprudence" as comprehension and knowledge of Islamic lows and edicts from theirs explicative reasons and justrification.s (Shakouri, 1377, 49-50). Concerning "political jurisprudence" they believe that political jurisprudence of Islam contains the entire regulations and jurisprudent sentences that are responsible of relationships between Muslims and other nations in the world (Id, 76). In this study, we try to discuss about geographic subjects of TERRITORIES within Islamic Jurisprudence and to explain his relation with geostrategic and geopolitical frontiers and TERRITORIES in other local subdivisions.

Abstract:

Over millennia, many TERRITORIES and countries have been attacked, intruded, captured, or divided. In this research, we debate surrounding the TERRITORIES that have been lost in Iran (then Persia) over the past. No effort has been made to investigate such territorial claims despite historical knowledge gaps and uncertainties. As such, this first-ever data-driven paper undertook such investigation by digitising two maps prepared based on historical documents by a few well-known Iranian geographical and historical scholars. While we did not check the correctness of the boundaries drawn at that time, we strived to digitise boundaries using GIS methods with high precision. Those boundaries delineated old TERRITORIES lost during the Qajar dynasty. It was revealed that the country lost a total land area between 1,827,160 km2 and 2,119,349 km2 during the 19th century.

Abstract:

Aphasia is a common manifestation of stroke and evaluation of relationships of aphasia and brain topography could lead to better UNDERSTANDING of cognitive neurophysiology. Consecutive 100 stroke patients with aphasia admitted in Valie Asr hospital, Khorasan in 2003 enrulled in this prospective study. Diagnosis of stroke and aphasia was made by a neurolosist and topography of involved cerebrovascular TERRITORIES confirmed by topographic maps of brain in CT scan. Global, Broca and Wernicke subtypes of aphasia constituted 52%, 40% and 6% of the cases respectively. Based on the usual nourishment of Broca and Wernicke areas by anterior and posterior cortical branches of the middle cerebral artery, 79% of Global, 47% of Broca and 50% of Wernicke aphasias had a compatible infarct topography. Other cases had no congruent infarct topography with involved linguistic area of their brain.Specific cerebrovascular topography for subtypes of aphasia in stroke patients was not found. The effects of cerebrovascular lesions on linguistic functions are not predictable by their topography in CT scan.
