Event studies have found several applications in financial and accounting researches as the standard method to assess the average effect of some types of announcement on stock prices. In a large sample of announcements, event window length can be standardized (fixed) across observations, because the errors from having too long or too short event window should have small impact in average by the Law of Large Numbers. But in small samples (in emerging markets) we cannot use this procedure. Here, we examine various potential rules for determining the length of an event window when looking at limited number of observations. We consider the announcements of adjustment of predicted earnings (by companies) in Tehran Stock Exchange during 1386 to 1388. To determining the length of time period affecting the market, tree methods are used. We also examine the relationship between the length of event window and the amount of unexpected earnings.

Conditionals are linguistic expressions expressed by means of syntactically complex forms which consist of a conditional clause/phrase and a main clause that make the occurrence of one event dependent on the occurrence of another. The present study attempts to analyze the conditional clause in Persian within the Minimalist framework. For this purpose, after a brief review of various classifications of these structures on semantic grounds, the conditional clause is considered as an adjunct clause.Then, regarding the diverse positions of conditional clause in sentence structure of various languages, two distinct approaches are introduced.Afterwards, it is proposed that as an adjunct, sentence-initial conditional clauses involve TP-adjunction and in some cases higher projections like FocP-adjunction and sentence-final conditional clauses involve vP-adjunction.Principles of the Binding Theory and deletion tests provide evidence in support of this hypothesis. The sentence-medial conditional clauses are actually the output of topicalization of those elements that have been placed before the conditional clauses.

In this article, first, we deal with the introduction of symbols and the scenes of Daquiqi’s revelations; then, ponder on the story in relation to the story of Moses and Khizr. We believe this story is based upon the Quranic story of Moses and Khizr. The mysteries of Daquqi’s event become clearer with regard to the dialogue of Moses and Khizr. Both of the stories try to show the distinction between the world of unseen and visible.

Dear Editor, In a visit to the Forensic Medicine Department of Ankara University, Turkey, some years ago, the authors of the letter noticed that the phrase "Olay Yeri Incelemesi" means "Event Scene Investigation" rather than "Crime Scene Investigation" is used in the country [1]. When we asked for the cause, the answer was convincing: "While investigating the scene, it is frequently observed that there was only one event or incident and no crime at all. So there is no need to endanger the mental health of citizens and society by misrepresenting like Westerners". As faculty members forensic medicine specialists, we did extensive searches on the Internet and academic databases (in English, Farsi, and Turkish), but we did not find a similar case in other countries. However, the response of our Turkish neighbors influenced our thinking and inevitably led the authors to write this letter. . .

This study will survey the significance of theatre in the philosophy of the contemporary French philosopher, Alain Badiou. He is probably the only philosopher in the contemporary world who still regards philosophy as a search for truth. He first mentions four domains of science, politics, art, and love, which are, in a way, reminiscent of Plato’s divisions regarding human and the world. He claims then that truths are produced only in these four domains. As regards the art of theatre, he has theses and ideas unconventional and uncommon to the worlds of art and philosophy, whose understanding requires, to a great extent, an acquaintance, even though elementary, with the main concepts of his intellectual and philosophical system. For Badiou, the event of true theatre is a kind of collective and communal creative act which creates its own specific subject, and in each staging of the theatrical text, the inner idea of the text completes. Badiou believes that theatre thinks, and, even though it is to a great extent dependent on the state, it can and should try to reveal its limitations, to create its own theatrical subject, and to form a new change by creating something new. In the end, it must be noted that the starting point of this discussion is philosophy, and this essay proceeds from Badiou’s philosophy toward the art of theatre.
