ONE OF THE METHODS TO FIND OUT THE AMOUNT OF TECTONIC AND SEISMIC ACTIVITIES IN A REGION IS THE USE OF MORPHOMETRIC METHODS. THE JAGIN RIVER IS LOCATED IN HORMOZGAN PROVINCE AND IN THE CITY OF JASK AND ORIGINATE FROM THE BASHAGARD MOUNTAINS AND BY JOINING SEVERAL OTHER RIVERS SUCH AS THE ANGAHRAN RIVER FLOWS INTO THE OMAN SEA. GEOGRAPHICALLY, IT IS CONSIDERED A PART OF MAKRAN. THE JAGIN RIVER ORIGINATES FROM THE SOUTHERN SLOPES OF BASHAGARD MOUNTAINS AND THEN PASSES THROUGH THE STRAIT OF MARANG AND JOINS ANOTHER MAJOR BRANCH OF SHARIFI TO THE OMAN SEA, AND THIS AREA HAS MANY ACTIVE FAULTS. THE MOVEMENT OF THE RIVER IS AFFECTED BY THE ACTIVITY OF THESE FAULTS. THEREFORE, IN THIS STUDY, BY CALCULATING THE TECTONIC ACTIVITY OF THE AREA, IT HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED TO REDUCE THE RISKS OF THE EARTHQUAKE, CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT THE DAM WAS BUILT ON THE RIVER. THE ACTIVE BASINS IN THE AREA HAS ALSO BEEN CHARACTERIZED. IN THIS STUDY, TO OBTAIN SEISMIC ACTIVITY IN THE STUDIED AREA, THE FOLLOWING INDICATORS HAVE BEEN USED: 1) DRAINAGE ASYMMETRY INDEX, 2) TOPOGRAPHIC DEGRADATION, 3) VALLEY WIDTH TO VALLEY HEIGHT,. DUE TO THE EARTHQUAKES OCCURRING IN THE AREA AND THE STUDY OF THESE INDICATORS, IT CAN BE CONCLUDED THAT MOST OF THE BASINS HAVE RELATIVELY HIGH TECTONIC LEVELS, AMONG WHICH BASINS 1, 21, 25 AND 30 HAVE MORE ACTIVITY THAN OTHER BASINS AND THE TECTONIC PROCESS OF THE AREA IS CONTROLLED BY ITS FAULT. AMONG THE FAULTS MENTIONED, THE JAGIN AND ASHKAN FAULTS ARE MORE ACTIVE THAN THE OTHER FAULTS IN THE REGION.
