Abstract:

The Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is a generic name given to a whole class of problems in which a set of routes for a fleet of vehicles based on one or several depots must be determined for a number of geographically dispersed customers. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) studies artificial systems that take inspiration from the behavior of real ant colonies and is used to solve discrete optimization problems. This paper attempts to solve ambulance routing as a VRP with ACO i.e. route ambulance so that injured people can be accommodated in hospitals as soon as possible (at least time). This traveling time depends on length of the traveled route and capacity of the hospitals. The implementation is done in MATLAB environment. Preliminary results showed that ACO can conveniently be used for routing problem.

Abstract:

Today, the importance of applying rational and systematic planning methods in management and optimal use of resources, particularly natural resources, is clear for everyone. Urban physical development, results to destroying agriculture farmland, moving to hazardous areas like flooding  areas, irrelevant slopes which in fact damages ecological balance and sustainability in cities. Ghazvin region is one of the biomes that have difficulties resulting from lack of a systematic administration on environmental resources. In this research, in Ghazvin region, identification and mapping of ecological factors, such as physical parameters (Topography, Elevation, Slope, Soil, Geology, Precipitation, Temperature) and biological parameters (Vegetation density and Conservation areas) affecting in urban development land use, was implemented by geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing (RS). Then, ecological capability of mention region were distinguished by urban development ecological model bored on systemic analysis method and implemented based on land suitability (by Boolean logic). Therefore, suitability attribute in this region was distinguished with 1 code and rest of with zero code, in each of 3 stories of the model. Then with multiple of layers, evaluation of urban development capability for every story was implemented that results are representative of presence only first story (suitable) in the region.

Abstract:

Nowadays developing geo-metadata with the capacity for data quality management and dissemination plays an important role in GIS/Geomatics world. Data quality information embedded in geo-metadata helps the users to decide whether the available dataset does fit the intended use. Standardized metadata for geo-spatial data is a key in data sharing and finding information on the web and crucial in building Geospatial Data Infrastructure (GDI). The main aim in this paper was to develop a web-based geo-metadata dissemination system for in-situ sensors based on, most importantly, interoperable, standard and open technologies introduced by Open GIS Consortium (OGC) namely Geography Markup Language (GML). To do this research at first a use case diagram was developed to demonstrate the user's requirement. Then an application XML schema based on user's requirement was created. To build this schema some GML schema documents (developed by OGC) were imported into the application schema. System architecture was designed based on client/server model so a UML class diagram is developed to present all classes and their attributes, operations and associations within the system. Implementation was conducted using GML, XML, XMLHTTP, DOM, ASP, and VBScript that brought out a web-network-based in-situ sensors metadata application. This application provided a user friendly interface to do search and find sensor related information. Based on this research it was found that although GML and XML are powerful tools to build geo-metadata and also embedded quality information but it is important to note that GML document size may be a problem when dealing with huge amount of data.

Abstract:

This paper presents a study on applying an integrated application of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Global Position System (GPS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) technology for ubiquitous tracking and location of construction resource (e.g. materials). Accurate and timely identification and tracking of resource (e.g. materials) are vital to operating a well managed and cost efficient construction project. RFID integrated with the GPS provides an opportunity to uniquely identify materials and to locate and track them using minimal or no worker input where GIS will be used for analyzing collected data. RFID will be used for monitoring the resource in a construction phase and GPS will monitor the transport equipment of them. In this research, the proposed system can assist engineers in controlling and monitoring the construction resource in a real time basis.

Abstract:

Humans generate solid wastes as by-products from all of their activities. Disposing of these solid wastes has become a challenge, especially as population densities have grown. Waste deposits (i.e., garbage dumps) have been associated with human habitation since prehistoric times. Landfill management in suburban particularly suburban of big cities such as Tabriz is inevitable. To observe multiplicity layers in landfill excretion we are use geographic information system for pretences of decision maker in site selection for this. Result shown that landfill excretion in Tabriz is none desirable with observe in status of ground waters and geological formations and sense for establish of compost industrial in this city.
