Abstract

The COBALT’s mine Oglid Tidar is one of the known reserviors of Ni and Co in Iran which is Located at 17 kilometers Northwest of Oghlid Tidar. With regard to quantity and quality this mine has been classified as high- grade and small reserve. The average contents of Co and Ni are 0.1 and 0.06 percent, respectively. And its Gange is mainly quartz and hematite. In this study physical preconcentration Method of COBALT (Shaking Table and MAGNETIC SEPARATION) has been examined in using the SHAKING TABLE method, because of the low criterion separation between hematite and quartz, no significant separation was gained with regard to grading and RECOVERY. And, finally, for preconcentration of Co, Magnetic Method was used, with which the grade and RECOVERY of Co for –50+400 mesh, were 0.18 and 83 percent, respectively. Accordingly, the magnetic wet high gradian separation method is the best method for preconcentration of Co in Oghlid Fars province.
