The present study tries to analyze the aspect of the reflection of victimology in the press from sociological perspective. To attain that end, the authors selected 200 news randomly from among Hamshahri newspaper printed in the first half on the year 2010.The findings of the study demonstrated that most victims were married young males with average‐level economic status who were unfamiliar with the criminals.Most female victims were shown to be single, Juveniles with low‐level economic status were most of the violent crime victims. Nevertheless, Hamshahri has introduced victims of high and average‐level economic status, the major victim group.

Public security is among the basic needs of all nations the enhancement of which is up to the police. The question is "how can police enhance the public security through more efforts?" The present study tried to answer this question by exploring the measures taken by police stations in different areas: suitable measures which need enhancement in police stations, measures needed to be enhanced and new measures. Qualitative research method using deep interview was administered.The findings demonstrated that there are several different appropriate measures being taken in police stations to enhance the public security and some measures should be abandoned and corrected.

Robbery is among the oldest crimes in societies. Robberies are of different types, the most important of which is armed robbery. What made the researchers implement the present study is the fear that armed robberies produce among people and the bad effects which undetected robberies have on citizens.This study aims at introducing effective factors in undetected armed robberies in Kerman province and tries to introduce appropriate suggestions for the betterment of the related strategies. Questionnaire, interview, and documents were the basic instruments for collecting data.The findings demonstrated that there is a significant relationship among appropriate operational guidance, intelligence measures, using modern technologies, time management and detecting the armed robberies.

Since police and judicial system in Iran are more engaged than other organizations with citizens’ rights, the author tried to explore the responsibilities of the two institutions regarding citizenship rights. The main questions of the present research is: «What is the relationship between citizenship rights and the responsibilities of police and judges? ».The hypothesis of the research is: «There is a significant relationship between citizenship rights and the responsibilities of police and judges».The findings of the study demonstrated that the realization of citizenship rights calls for benefitting from the right of respect, equality, freedom, comfort, security, knowledge, and advancement for any single person living in the society.The findings also showed that there are large capacities for defending victims in our constitutional law.

Robbery is among the crimes which results in a sort of fear of crime. Robbery is one of those types of crimes which is of basic interest and concern for the police. This study aims at clarifying the effective factors in the occurrence of robberies in Bandar‐Abbas in 2010. The Present study tried to demonstrate the relationship between Police surveillance, Victims’ behaviors, time, environmental context, spatial situations and robberies. Questionnaire was used to collect the required data.The findings of the study showed that robberies result from at least five variables: Police surveillance, victims’ behaviors, time, environmental context, and spatial situations. The most important factor effective in the occurrence of robberies was shown to be the spatial situations.

The present paper tries to answer this question: «What kind of Threats do the U.S post September 11th policies have for the public security of the Islamic Republic of Iran? ». After The September 11th, The U.S tried to adopt some sort of preventive policies by invading Afghanistan and Iraq. One of the U.S new security ends is related to I.R.I. The U.S military Presence around The borders of I.R.I. has brought about new threats and challenges in terms of weakening the nation in political, military, economic, cultural, and social areas. Later international changes and changes in the security environment of The U.S along with the democrats being empowered have created new soft and semi hard threats against Iran security.
