Purpose: The present study aimed at studying the arrays and illumination of Herat school according to the Quranic manuscripts available in the Library and Documents Center of the Holy threshold (shrine) of Imam Reza.Methodology: This is an applied study using descriptive method with a qualitative approach. By analysis of the volumes of the Quranic treasure of the Holy threshold (shrine) of Imam Reza, 10 Quran manuscripts were selected. This study was carried out through a methodical consideration and categorizing of the arrays and illuminations of 10 Quranic manuscripts of Herat school into two parts including inside of the text (the papers of the volumes) and outside of the text (book binding).Findings: By description of the arrays and illumination of Quranic manuscripts, the findings were: the frontispiece 40%, the illuminated board 60%, the medallion 10%, the illuminated verses 100%, the decoration of the end of Quran 20% have been applied in the volumes.Results: The obtained results of this study show that the great Quran and exquisite has many evidences from the Herat school and their decorative features identified in the this research are numerous.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between organizational climate and job satisfaction of the librarians at the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi.Methodology: The present study was conducted through the survey-correlation method. The population consisted of all the officially-employed librarians in the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi among which 52 individuals were randomly chosen. Data collection tool was a questionnaire adapted from the Schneider questionnaire of organizational climate and Smith questionnaire of job satisfaction which were distributed among librarians. The collected data then were analyzed using appropriate parametric tests including T test, Pearson correlation test, multiple regression and ANOVA using SPSS software.Findings: According to the results, librarians’ job satisfaction at the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi was evaluated at a high level but its amount was significantly different based on their gender and work experience. Meanwhile, the organizational climate of the library was assessed as moderate. Research results also showed that there were significant relationships between the components of library organizational climate and librarians’ job satisfaction.

Considering the importance of information behavior in knowledge & information science, this study aimed to survey the confirmatory factor analysis of the measurement scale of information behavior. 245 Ph.D. students of universities in in Khuzestan province (Iran) were selected by random stratified sampling and completed the measurement scale of information behavior. To analyze data, confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha were performed by using the statistical software of SPSS-21 and AMOS. The results showed that six-factor model of the scale of information behavior fits for the society. Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient of the six factors ranges from 0.73 to 0.87. Findings suggest that the scale of information behavior is a valid and reliable tool and can be used in research related to this field to measure information behavior.

Purpose: Doctorial theses are an important source of research findings. The aim of this study was to investigate the Ph.D. theses in the field of Knowledge and Science Information studies through content analysis. Methodology: The research method was content analysis. Information was gathered through a checklist. The JITA classification system was implemented to investigate LIS subject trends. Sample of the research consists of 125 the Ph.D. theses in KIS selected of four Iranian universities (Tehran, Shahid Chamran, Ferdowsi, and Islamic Azad University, Tehran Branch). Findings: The largest number theses belonged to the years 2012 (%20) and the lowest number to the 2002 (%8). The results show that % 55.2 of the theses were written by men and %44.08 women. Survey method was the most widely used research method (%60.8), %94.4 of abstracts were unstructured. The most emphasized area of the researches were the Information Technology (%39.2), Management Functionalities (%31.2), and Theoretical and General Studies (%29.6) respectively. Also, the sub-topic most researched was "Libraries as physical collections" (%11.6). Dr. Ali Shakoei and Dr. Abbas Horri were identified as the most frequent supervisors. Conclusion: Numbers of the theses are increasing in the field of Information Technology due to different factors such as use of the advanced technologies in the world to improving infrastructures. Originality/ Value: This research is the first content analysis study on Ph.D. theses in the field of Knowledge and Information Science Studies in Iran.

Introduction: Colors are so influential on the spirit of human beings that can change their behavior. Color is a criteria for the evaluation of personality and health in modern psychology because any color has special effect on persons’ mental and physical condition. The aim of this study was to investigate the psychological effect of the uniform of personnel of a public library on their mental health. Therefore, we studied somatic symptoms, anxiety, Social withdrawal, and depression influenced by color.Methodology: This study was an applied study based on quasi experimental and was associated with pretest, protest, control group and examination. Statistical sample of this study included 30 librarians from Esfahan public libraries. The sample was randomly selected and assigned into two exam groups such test group (N=15) and control group (N=15). Research tools was a questionnaires including GHQ28. The findings were analyzed by SPSS/PC version 19.Results: Findings show that personnel’s uniform color has impact on their mental health, anxiety and depression. The impact percentages are 16.0%, 43.0% and 38.0% respectively. However, there is no relationship with their somatic symptoms and social withdrawal.Conclusion: Changing the personnel’s uniform color can have positive effect on their mental health and as well as anxiety and depression.

Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the use of social networks to share knowledge by librarians in public libraries in Kerman. Methodology: This study used a qualitative approach and grounded theory method. Research population included librarians of all public libraries in Kerman. The participants in the study were selected through snowball sampling. Findings: 69 conceptual propositions were identified through the analysis and open encryption of interviews and the review of the literature. In the second phase using the encryption key, the data were splitted into categories that were most relevant to the study of conceptual statements relating to the interviews. This leaded to 29 conceptual propositions in public librarians. Then in the third phase, four main components were identified including personal activities, professional activities, communication, and religion respectively. Results: The results showed that the current public librarians in Kerman use social networks for individual activities, professional activities, communication in general and for knowledge sharing of religious issues in particular but Knowledge sharing and distribution of scientific issues play the large part in this subject.
