Because of widespread effects of services trade on macroeconomic indicators such as economic growth, investment, employment and creating new job opportunities, this sector has increased its dominance in the national and international economies. Therefore, in the recent decades, such importance has made most of developed and developing countries to do some structural adjustments in the service sector.This study aims to specify an econometric model and estimate the effects of services trade openness, defined as the share of services trade to total service value added, on economic growth in selected Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) countries. Using the data over the period 1991- 2005, the results approve the existence of strong and positive relation between services trade openness and economic growth in these countries.

The separation between poor and rich, developing and developed countries has been increased in the current century. In this information century, the communities and organizations pursue to develop extensively the use of knowledge within the context of information and communication technology.In this regard, the businesses are planning to enter various digital fields and assess their e-Readiness considered as a measure of business development and success. In recent years, a number of electronic assessment tools have been developed. These tools confirm that how the study of an organization from information technology point of view can be beneficial.This objective of the paper is to model the components of acceptance capability, the use and incorporation of information and communication technology and related applications in defense industry of Iran. The model comprises the access, classification and evaluation indicators of e-Readiness.Although the above model is designed to assess e-Readiness of small and medium enterprises in defense industry, it can be used to assess other industries by modifying its components.

This article aims to examine the effects of globalization and e-Commerce on economic growth in developing countries. A Panel Data technique is employed to estimate the empirical models using the data over the period 1990-2005. The countries studied in the paper are classified into two income groups, upper middle income and lower middle income.The results show that e–Commerce has a significant and positive effect on economic growth in upper middle income group while the coefficient of globalization index is statistically insignificant. However, e- Commerce and globalization index have significant and positive effects on economic growth in lower middle income group.

In recent decades, ICT development and its application in different economic and social domains cause the traditional methods and models to be emended to include the effects of e-Commerce developments. The reason to start this reconsideration is that e-Commerce increases productivity and decreases the prices of goods and services.The objective of the paper is to examine the effects e-Commerce development on output and prices. To this end, the input-output tables of USA, Japan and Korea is considered while e-Commerce sector is included.The simulation results show that e-Commerce penetration causes the output increases in metal and non metal, wholesale, plastic and chemical materials, transportation, foods and agricultural sectors relatively more than other sectors while it causes the prices increases in plastic and chemical materials, metal and non metal, electronic devices, construction, food and financial services sectors relatively more than other sectors.

In this paper, we are going to consider assets and liabilities management (ALM) structure and instrument in Islamic banking. Since in Islamic banking depositors take partnership in benefits of bank, Islamic banking follows to maximizing benefits of beneficiaries such as depositors. Therefore, there are dissimilarities between ALM approaches in Islamic banking and conventional banking. First, this dissimilarity comes from differences on accounting system in Islamic banking in comparison to conventional banking. Secondly, usury illegalness and its related jurisprudence specifications indicate that time is not a sole effective factor on increasing equity (deposited capital) return. Therefore, profit and loss sharing resulted from investment in real economy sector is the essential base in monetary transactions in this system. These two important factors are significant factors in the Islamic ALM structure.In this paper we consider the influences of these factors in two banking approaches for creating economic value added (EVA). Comparison of financial indices for the two type of banking, the results lead us to conclude that Islamic banking is more efficient than conventional banking.

There are two main parametric and nonparametric methods in the literature to measure efficiency. In this paper, nonparametric approach is used to examine e-Commerce efficiency in selected developing countries. Since the output variables included in the model are correlated, principal component analysis is considered and then cross DEA is employed to rank e-Commerce efficiency of developing countries.The results indicate that under the fixed outcome to scale assumption, the most e-Commerce efficient countries are Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Algeria, Indonesia and Azerbaijan. The average efficiency score is 43.8 percent. Under the variable outcome to scale assumption, some other countries such as Estonia, India, China, Russia, Ukraine and Iran are also ranked as the most efficient countries and the average efficiency is 63.9 percent. Moreover, using the Cross DEA approach, Indonesia and Vietnam are ranked as the most efficient countries among all selected countries.

Value creation and gaining sustainable competitive advantage and strategic superior have caused to pay attention to the customers and their satisfaction.It is shown that sailing in cyber space and information and communication technology have an essential role in the development of electronic shopping.This paper presents a new approach to customer-satisfaction measurement (CSM) of electronic shopping and examines its key factors by using Fuzzy Multi Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) method. To this end, a six-step approach is used to measure the electronic shopping customer-satisfaction.Since most of the data used in this study are qualitative and such data might be ambiguous, we transform the qualitative terms into quantitative terms by using the fuzzy collections. Finally, we compare the situation of those shops in terms of three different types of services.
