Lack of management stability negatively affects the performance of organizations and Similar-to-me (STM) effect is known to be one of its main causes. This study intends to investigate the antecedents of similar to me effect in managers' selection. A sample of 278 managers from a total of 493 airport industry managers has filled out the research questionnaire. Research findings show that narcissism is a big antecedent of STM (0.467) and there exists a positive correlation between STM and Groupthink (0.394). Another consequence of STM is a decrease in functional conflict which is shown to have a negative impact on STM (-0.564). As it is confirmed that the destructive consequences of similar-tome effect inroad organizations' performance, it is recommended that organizations should avoid STM in managers' selection and select managers among qualified not only candidates similar to the top manager.

The purpose of this research is to analyze knowledge gaps in the Centre of Research and Technology of Petrochemical Organization and to present a framework to fill these gaps. The researchers have used Lin (2005) Model of Knowledge Gaps as the basis of the research and combining it with Armstrong's (2004) model of learning organization and Sharkie's (2005) model of the factors affecting trust climate of the organization and people's intention to share their knowledge, two other hypotheses have been developed based on the eight-gap model. Also, a prioritization of variables composing each gap has been conducted based on the opinions of knowledge management experts and the researchers of the organization. AHP method has been conducted to prioritize the variables from KM scholars' viewpoints and Friedman test has been applied to prioritize the variables from the viewpoint of researchers and managers of the organization, Based on the research findings, the first knowledge gap does not exist while the existence of other seven gaps has been confirmed. Also some differences have been observed between the view points of experts and researchers in prioritizing variables.

The purpose of the present research is to study the impact of person-organization fit degree on organizational attitudes of university faculties in Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. Using open and closed questionnaires a survey has been conducted to investigate the relationship between research variables. Out of 393 time university faculties in 1385, 205 faculties were selected as the research sample. Results indicate that the impact of person-organization fit variables on organizational attitudes of university faculties is statistically significant with 95% level of confidence and the degree of fit on job satisfaction and organization and commitment plays an important role in Universities; besides it is recognized that the p-o fit is an important variable within the universities to predict the organizational attitudes.

The objective of this research is to investigate the perceptions professional and nonprofessional investors' on the effectiveness of the board of directors, and hence on their investment decision judgment. Using on experimented design, a constant and rigid financial statement of a hypothetical company consisting of two distinctive scenarios -namely: strong and weak board of directors- has been provided to the participants. The board effectiveness, the type of investors, financial position, and the financial performance, have been treated as independent variables, while risk and the amount of investment have been regarded as dependent variables. T-Test has been used to compare the two independent samples means and pairs means while the relationships between variables have been evaluated using Pierson coefficient. Hypotheses were tested utilizing Linear Multi Regression and Ordinary Least Square models (OLS).Results show that the perception of investors of the effectiveness of the board does not have a significant relation with the perceived risk of the investors while the perception of the investors has a direct and positive effect on the amount of investing; furthermore the perceptions of professional and nonprofessional investors regarding the effectiveness of the board are the same.

This study intends to explain and document the nature and impact of excellence assessment in Iranian defence industries. This program, due to its vision, purpose, assessment model and procedures, scope of participant industries and its results, is a unique experience in Iranian industries.An action research methodology is conducted to study the design and implementation of this organizational improvement regime in three cycles. There are five stages in each action research cycle. Since strategies in each cycle are based on the problems diagnosed by the stakeholders, the excellence assessment model and procedures have evolved and some theoretical and practical findings have emerged. Results of the excellence assessment in defense Industries include: growth of excellence dialogue in defense industries, competition for improvement, management attitude change, better definition of improvement projects, forming of excellence institution in defense industries, professional assessors network development, strategic alignment, encouragement and commitment to excellence.

This article seeks to develop and strengthen a common language on the role of theoretical contribution in entrepreneurial studies. It is proposed that the scientific scope of entrepreneurship will essentially need a theoretical contribution strategy towards development and maturity. Furthermore a large volume of entrepreneurial studies published in the accredited entrepreneurship journals fall under the category of reporter, qualifier and tester; therefore it is necessary for the field to initiate a direction towards perfection and conduct research activities with the merit of builders, expanders and testers. In this study attempt has been made to evolve the model of Colquitt and Zapata-Phelan's theoretical contribution from pure descriptive nature to a normative view in investigations.
