Abstract

This article seeks to develop and strengthen a common language on the role of THEORETICAL CONTRIBUTION in entrepreneurial studies. It is proposed that the scientific scope of ENTREPRENEURSHIP will essentially need a THEORETICAL CONTRIBUTION strategy towards development and maturity. Furthermore a large volume of entrepreneurial studies published in the accredited ENTREPRENEURSHIP journals fall under the category of reporter, qualifier and tester; therefore it is necessary for the field to initiate a direction towards perfection and conduct research activities with the merit of builders, expanders and testers. In this study attempt has been made to evolve the model of Colquitt and Zapata-Phelan's THEORETICAL CONTRIBUTION from pure descriptive nature to a normative view in investigations.
