The beginning of the feminist movement in Iran coincided with the Constitutional Revolution and the reign of the first Pahlavi monarch. Liberal  minded women took the initiative into their own hands and founded the first schools for girls, they organized societies and published journals dealing specifically with women's  issues. Some pioneer women demanded legal rights for women. Parvin E`tesami was foremost among these women. She supported women's rights through her poetry, she consistently demanded that women should be respected and criticised and objected to the condition of women. She disparaged the patriarchal attitude of the government and her poems are full of her insistence that women and girls should be protected by society. The present article attempts to prove that a poem published in 1300/1921 in the journal Alam-e Nesvan, was by written by her. This short Qasideh, elegy has not attracted the attention of those who specialize in her work. The author of the present article attempts to establish the authenticity of this work as written by Parvin E`tesami by examining her style, and feminist stance of this famous poet.

The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of ethical precepts with feminine centrality in literary texts. To reach this goal the researchers have analyzed the text of 'A Doll's House" according to a number of ethical tenets and the response of the female heroin Nora to these tenets. Thus those parts of "A Doll's House" appropriate to this analysis were chosen and in order to judge the consistency of this view the opinion of 20 students were obtained about certain scenes and their opinion was reviewed. Our findings indicate that while there is considerable correlation among three theories, the cognitive and pragmatic approach was insufficient as an explanation whereas the more caring approach was more significant in interpreting feelings and affection. These views help to understand the development of the female heroin of the play.

This paper, through analyzing various scenes from randomly selected films, and of belief that the film subjects, if not complete reflections of social relations of humans, surely demonstrate sections of social reality, attempts to explicate the thoughts of scientists in sociolinguistics and sociology of language like Labove, Hymes, Fishman,…, especially related to the features of social acts of males and females, in the process of their socialization.

Now days it is assumed that polygamy is inconsistent with human rights and it seems irrelevant to discuss and redefine this case. Some scholars believe this is not even a hypothesis that needs justification or confirmation. According to human rights and international laws this is accepted as a fundamental right and assumes the equality of man and women. With this presupposition in mind this paper will discuss the measure of conformity of polygamy with human rights.

The Arab nation is considered a united nation which is integrated for the common language, culture, history and destiny. Thus, the Arab nationalism is highlighted in the Palestinian women’s literature in which the thoughts and concepts of Arab Ummah id well represented. The Palestinian women believe in their country as a inseparable part of the “Great Arab Land” and they attempt to encourage the Arab world to make Palestine free.

This article aims at analyzing the figurines of Hajilar located in Central Anatolia. It specifically analyzes the female figurines found in level VI of Hajilar related to the Neolithic culture. Apart from that, some theories regarding different functions of these figurines are also discussed in the present article. In order to have a better understanding of the nature of these figurines, their function and their relation to the role of women in prehistory, the researcher also briefly discusses the gnerality of these figurines.

All texts whether historical or literary are various discources in which cultural and social phenomenon are revealed. The selection of Tarikh-e Beyhaqi by Abol Fazl-e Beyhaqi (a historical text) and Samak-e Ayar by Faramarz ebn-e Khodadad (a literary text) is because of their significant position in cultural, linguistic and literary texts. This paper's basic theme is that in Samak-e Ayar the female characters generally belong to the common classes whilst in Tarikh-e Beyhaqi the female characters belong to the aristocratic class. Therefore a comparative study of the two types of female characters in their own context can reveal the function of the discourse in creating dynamic or satic female characters in either of the two texts in question.
