Abstract: 

Interventional approaches such as regeneration are modern approaches for producing a spatial organization based on the new situations all of which are effective in the establishment of new urban relations or in redefinition of old urban relations. This approach is reviewed by urban studies. The main focus of urban regeneration is on plans with economic, environmental and structural goals. Therefore, it is necessary that a shift is gradually made in urban regeneration from mere landscaping towards increase of focus to a broader approach of that such as regeneration approach of basic culture so that financial and economic interests in urban plans are addressed and the route of this investment is specified in parallel with establishment of cultural and art centers and spending leisure times. In addition to capital return, because of providing special attractions for the presence of people, the operated zones are influenced completely and this new urban space results in extroversion, sociability and creativity. Potential creative power is revealed in terms of popular art and construction of cultural buildings. In this regard, it is considered as the motivation of urban development in the process of urban regeneration. This research seeks such approach of regeneration for leisure spaces in urban blight of Gheytariyeh neighborhood by identifying and evaluating the dimensions and principles of regeneration. Because urban blight of Gheytariyeh is in a low level with respect to leisure times and sufficient public services for achievement of the needs of resident population in which quarters are not provided. This imbalance in turn results in several social and cultural problems. In this research, surveying, documentary and analytical methods were used to collect data. Data analysis was made by Delphi and multi-criteria decision making methods. Results showed that the study area was not in situation with respect to land use of leisure. On the other hand, the utilized qualitative method identified criteria to achieve a qualitative, quantitative and desirable balance and access of residents to urban services such as leisure services in terms of approach of regeneration in the urban blight. By performing spatial analyses of west blocks which are the transport nodes of neighborhood entry and are in relation to major arterials of this zone with Gheytariyeh, Dezaship and Tajrish and ruined land uses and some of vacant lands in this section, it can be considered as the optimum zone of spaces for spending leisure times.

Abstract: 

The attitude toward land use management and rural residential land assignments in particular has been lead to unfavorable consequences in terms of old and primitive development viewpoint. Therefore, land use management and rural residential land assignments has been viewed in terms of sustainable viewpoint. In Iran, like some other countries, the government has attempted to assign national wastelands within a residential land plan to the rural people since 1979. In this regard, yet scientific evaluation has not been conducted for rural settlements ranked affected from consequences of rural residential lands assignment. On the other hand, ORESTE method has been introduced as a one of the most applicable ranking methods recently. Therefore, the aim of this research is to introduce and use ORESTE method for rural settlements ranking affected by consequences of rural residential lands assignment. The method of this research was descriptive and analytical; Data gathering was done through library and field. 264 rural household questionnaires in six selected provinces and 15 questionnaires of the expert reserchers were described and analyzed. Based on the finding of 20 indicators, Chahkotah, Ab-tavil and Malekabad are more favorable compared to other rural areas in residential lands assignment process. Furthermore, ORESTE method as a criterion for ranking of consequences of rural residential lands assignment is a suitable method with minimum fault.

Abstract: 

This research aims to experiment a quantitative method in urban form studies with a typomorphological approach. This method is originally based on physical density with its more reliable description as a measurable indicator. In this paper after the introduction and a brief look at some former quantitative approaches to urban form through the theoretical framework and also the relationship between density and architectural-urban typomorphology, a method (or tool) called the "spacemate" is described in a rather detailed manner. As the case study of this research, some samples from the urban tissues of Tabriz metropolis were chosen to analyze with this method. The basic data was then collected and classified, and the results were placed and reflected on the "spacemate" in order to be analyzed at the final step. Although at the first place this tool is originally designed to be applied as a tool for studying and analyzing the urban forms in the western cities and towns, and has been examined in a limited scale, but the results of this research (which is the first of its kind in Iran) has shown that it is was also applicable in studying many aspects of urban forms-both descriptively and anticipatively-in Iranian cities, as well as many other urban textures in other similar countries, in presence of sufficient and reliable data.

Abstract: 

Local and regional capabilities and advantages are always different due to being influenced by various economic, social and environmental factors and this, results in the superiority of some zones over the others. Therefore, the identification of the local and regional advantages and capabilities is one of the basic principles of development planning and scientific strategies for development; scientific strategies will be realized by clarifying the current situation. The concept of culture is one of the most important issues influencing the development of human societies that has been common in recent years. In some regions, it has led to development and in some others it has caused cultural inequalities. The objective of this study is to estimate and rank the 11 cities in Yazd province in terms of cultural factors considering 21 cultural factors. The research method is descriptive, quantitative and analytic. In this study, the techniques of Delphi and ORESTE have been utilized to weigh the indices and analyze the data respectively. The findings indicate that the cultural factors are not distributed equally in the cities of Yazd firstly and an obvious difference is observed among the cities regarding the development of cultural services and; secondly, based on the findings, the cities of Mehriz, Ardakan and Abarkouh have been ranked from first to third in terms of cultural development and Yazd, which is the center of the Yazd province, has been ranked as the lowest.

Abstract: 

Leishmaniases are among the most important tropical vector-borne diseases, that it estimated to infect 20000 people yearly in Iran, has a strong relationship with climatic condition. This disease is transmitted to human hosts by the bite of a Phlebotomine sand fly that was previously fed by biting an infected reservoir. So that this disease such as most vector born disease is affected by environmental and climatic conditions. In this paper we intend to examine the monthly dynamics of incidence of this zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis (ZCL) as a function of climatic and environmental indicators in region which covers a large area of the arid of southeastern portion of Iran, Kerman province during 2006 to 2011. To achieve this aim we use monthly ZCL incidence data during which they were given from local health center of Kerman province. The required climatic factors were also given from meteorological organization. 2 products of MODIS namely, Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) were also used as environmental factors in order to monitoring land temperature and vegetation cover situation. Finally we have used correlation and cross-correlation analysis to reveal the relationship between climatic factors and ZCL incidence in Kerman province. The results suggest the strong negative correlation between ZCL incidence and air temperature (AT), LST and EVI simultaneously which is-0. 6,-0. 52 and-0. 48, respectively. But with 4 months lag time in the same year; we observed the AT and LST have strong positive correlation with ZLC incidence which is about 0. 74 and 0. 62 respectively. But EVI by 3 months lag time has positive association with ZLC incidence in Kerman. Calibrating the sensitivity of ZCL by climatic and physiographical condition can be very helpful in developing climate-based ZLC pre-warning systems. It should be noted that the sporadic incidence of ZLC (and any vector born disease) in any region cannot be referred to climatic and physiographical condition confidently. The sporadic incidence is usually related to individual factors such as travelling to endemic region and personal lifestyle. whereas the climatic condition is not prone to these diseases, the prevalence cannot be occurred easily.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present research to study the climate effects of Caspian Sea shores on some activities for beach tourism development. In this regard, the 25-year meteorological data (1986-2010) of eight synoptic stations were used. In order to evaluate coastal resting feasibility the BCI was used and key & Vamplew model was applied to assess the sport tourism in three fields as parachute, football and Athletics (track). Validation & Comparison of thermal comfort was conducted for mentioned activities & analyzing the climatic conditions for coastal development activities with wind chill index. Analyses based on the outputs of CTIS model and the regionalization area was performed by IDW method. The results obtained from the BCI index showed that Eastern shores are more preferable compared to the western shores for coastal resting. Based on BCI and wind chill index it was found that June, July and August months are more suitable for coastal resting In contrast, the western shores have better feasibility for windy sports. Although the extent of favorable areas are higher for parachute sports on the eastern shores, but the climate potential on the Western Coast is more suitable. However, the western coast compared to the eastern one have more favorable climatic conditions for the creation of coastal complexes. In general, due to Inappropriate temperature, wind speed and foggy increase, in the months of December, January and February there aren’ t favorable conditions for mentioned activities in the western parts.

Abstract: 

The political organization of space in Iran is affected, foremost, by the geographical features. The present study has explored the role of geographical factors in the formation of local government focusing on the Iran; The present study utilized systems thinking approach due to the importance of systems thinking approach in investigating and analyzing the topics and issues related to management, geography and political science fields. Research method of the study is descriptive, analytic and inferential and quantitative and qualitative approaches are used in collecting the field data. In the quantitative part, forty experts' ideas were sought and cited in the field of local government. In the qualitative part, seven scholars were selected based on the snowball sampling technique for interview in the field of local government. Independent samples Ttest was used In order to examine the effect of the geographical aspect in the formation of local governments in Iran. Friedman test in was utilized to prioritize the extent of effects of each of the factors associated with the geographical aspect. In order to design and draw the cause and effect diagrams based on the systems thinking approach, Vensim software was used and the interview method is utilized to complete the final model. The results of the research indicate that the effect of geographical factors in the formation of local governments in Iran is above medium and the status of this aspect for constructing local governments in Iran is rather desirable.

Abstract: 

Urban growth simulation has always been one of the challenges in the field of urban management and planning in a sustainable and optimized way. One of the most widely used models in this field is cellular automata which has considerably attracted the attention of urban researchers in recent decades. However, previous studies show that the output of conventional cellular automata (CA) model is sensitive to cell size and neighboring structure. For this purpose, vector based cellular automata models have been introduced to overcome the limitations of conventional CA model. The purpose of this study is to simulate urban growth using vector based cellular automata in a parcel structure as high spatial resolution. In this model, neighborhood structure is defined as an external buffer from parcel edges and on the basis of a weighted function of distance, area and land use of cadastral parcels. The presented model has been implemented and analyzed using the data of the 22nd municipal region of Tehran. The obtained results indicate the capability of the model in assessing interactions of urban parcels with different shapes and distances from each other and also illustrate urban growth in an acceptable proportion of different urban land use arrangements. Since it is possible in this model to allocate different urban land uses, it can be used in spatial decision making and urban land use planning by urban planners.

Abstract: 

Geoarchaeological surveys are the best way to discover the environmental features of ancient settlements at the time of their establishment. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of environmental factors in the site selecting of the prehistoric settlements in Varamin plain. After studying the environmental features of Varamin plain, eight characteristics of the natural environment have been investigated, including the impact of geomorphologic features, geology, climate, vegetation, slope, land use and access to soil and water resources and fuzzy logic was used in order to provide an environmental capabilities plain zoning map to establish settlements in Varamin plain. Results showed that the sentral parts of Jajrood Alluvial fan have the best environmental conditions in order to establish settlements. Being located on alluvial deposits has provided appropriate geological condition. Suitable soil for farming and pottery, gentle slope, convenient access to streams, sufficient distance from the apex of the alluvial fan and being safe from flood risk and having better weather than the southern part of the alluvial fan are some of the factors that create suitable environmental conditions in these areas and situating the dominant settlements in this region and continuing their residence confirm the result.
