In this study, concentration of Cd, Pb, Hg & Fe was determined in muscle of eighteen kind of Otolithes rubber caught from fisheries stations in Bandar Abbas in Summer 2009 and Winter 2010.Concentration were compaired with their MRL(max. permissible residual level) in international standard. After preparation of the sample and digestion by AOAC methods, concentration of (Cd, Pb, Hg & Fe) was determined using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Mean fish weight was 520.05g and the mean (Cd, Pb, Hg & Fe) in the muscle of samples were 0.015, 0.02, 0.11, 4.02mg/g dry weight, respectively. Positive correlation between weight and concentrations of Cd, Pb, Hg & Fe in the muscle (mg/g dw) were observed (P< 0.05). There were significant differences between concentration of Cd, Pb & Hg in seasons (P<0.05). Based on the result, Cd, Pb, Hg & Fe content found in the studied fish samples were not significant. The amount of these elements in this kind of fish is less than MRL of WHO, NHMRC, MAFF and FDA.
