Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of abacus mental arithmetic training of the mathematical problem solving skills in trained and untrained students of elementary school. This research was a descriptive method, causalcomparative. The statistical population in this study was elementary students of sixth grade in district 3 in Karaj. The research samples included 60 trained pupils and 120 untrained pupils. Samples were selected with multi-stage cluster sampling method and using Cochran sampling formula. Data obtained using mathematical problem solving questionnaire and numerical calculating questionnaire on the basis of standardized TIMSS tests and precision and concentration from Wechsler standardized tests. Inferential statistical techniques and SPSS statistical software was used to analysis data. The results showed that the students who had trained abacus mental arithmetic and those who had not trained had significant differences in velocity components in mathematical problem solving, precision and concentration, and numerical calculation. So that trained students had higher scores in mentioned components and was more successful. Findings showed that there were significant differences in cognitive dimension of mathematical problem solving strategies such as under problem strategies, shape drawing, symbol method and easier problem solving method, while there were no significant differences in modeling strategies, pattern making and guesses and experiment.

Abstract: 

The present study aims to investigate the effect of computer games on the mental health of the high school students. This study was ex post facto. The statistical population included all high school students in Gorgan. Using Cochran formula, the sample was estimated 456 individuals. To select the sample, first, some schools were randomly selected as a cluster among the four districts of the secondary schools in Gorgan using cluster sampling and then the needed sample was randomly selected according to the population of any school (based on the students' gender and population). Data collection tools were the Standard General Health Questionnaire GHQ28 in four dimensions of somatic symptoms, anxiety and insomnia, depression level, and social dysfunction. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics including independent t-test and one way ANOVA. The obtained results showed that computer games affect the students' somatic symptoms, but they don't affect the students' anxiety and insomnia, depression level, social dysfunction and in general, their mental health. Furthermore, in comparing the demographic variables, there was a significant difference between the female and male students with regard to their somatic symptoms, anxiety and insomnia, and mental health (overall); however, no significant difference was found based on their educational level.

Abstract: 

Todays, quick and increasing development of information and communication technology and its usability in different fields of organization, creates a new approach which is called electronic human resource management. Human resource considered as a growth and survival pillar of the organization and has a basic role in organization effectiveness. Therefore, this investigation aims to evaluate the role of electronic human resource management on organizational effectiveness in educational organization of Golestan province. The investigation was descriptive-survey. Statistical population of research was managers, assistant directors and educational experts of educational organization department and townships of Golestan in educational year of 2015- 16 which was 643. Sampling method was stratified random based on organizational post. By using Cochran formula, and after drop out, 226 persons participate in the investigation as sample. Data gathering instruments were researcher made questionnaires which their validity was confirmed by experts and their reliability was obtained 0.97 by Alpha Cronbach coefficient. In order to data analysis in inferential statistics level, a statistical software SPSS proportional to data assessment and statistical assumption, one sample t test was used. Results revealed that electronic human resource management was affected organizational effectiveness, and using informational and communicational technology in planning, employment, training and development, performance evaluation and human resource maintenance will promote organizational effectiveness in Golestan province educational organization.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study was to identify and determine the relations and ranking factors affecting the success of e-learning at university. The research method based on aim was a practical and based on data gathering was descriptive-analytical. The statistical population included managers and professors of Payame Noor University of East Azerbaijan province in the field of educational science and management. The statistical population was 45 people who were all selected as sample due to low number of the total population. For data collection, two researcher made questionnaires were used. Content validity of the questionnaire were reviewed and approved. To verify the reliability of the first questionnaire Cronbach alpha was calculated 0.96 and for the second questionnaire the test-retest correlation coefficient was estimated 0.93. To analyze the data one sample t test was used. In order to determine the relations and ranking factors, Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) were used. The results of the t test for identified 18 factors, indicated that all key factors influencing the success of e-learning in universities and their mean was above average. Also, the results of the ISM analysis and influence of powerdependence on factors showed that the factors are classified into four levels: Dependent, autonomous, linkage and intrusive which were located in connected and dependent clusters. Technical and support factors, management and strategic and educational factors and content, compared to other factors, exert more influence on the success of e-learning in universities.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was investigating the efficiency of social studies educational multimedia on the academic achievements and social skills development of educable disabled fifth-grade elementary female students’ in Arak in 2014. The research method was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest and control group. Statistical population was all educable disabled fifth-grade female students’ in Arak. The sample consisted of 20 educable disabled female students in the fifth grade of Amir-Ebrahimi Fakhar exceptional primary school in Arak that was divided randomly into two groups (control and experimental); each consisting of 10 people. The instruments included educational multi-media for social studies, social skills questionnaire and achievement test. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (independent and dependent t test) by using SPSS. Based on the findings, teaching through learning multimedia produced for social studies had a meaningful effect on the academic achievement and development of social skills in the experimental group. Results suggest that we can use multi-media materials beside traditional education for academic achievement and development of social skills in the disabled students.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, e-learning and education is used in many educational systems. However, in Iranian agricultural secondary education system, the use of elearning is very low. With respect to the necessity of developing this kind of education, there is need to investigate the stakeholders’ attitudes especially students in this regard. The purpose of this descriptive-correlational study was to identify factors influencing the attitude of agricultural students toward elearning. The survey instrument comprised a two-part questionnaire which validity was confirmed by a panel of experts and its reliability was obtained as 0.87. The statistical population comprises all 187 agricultural conservatory students in Zanjan Province and 135 of them were selected based on Krejcie and Morgan sampling table and applying randomized stratified sampling method. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation coefficients and multiple linear regressions. The results revealed that 61.5% of students have a positive attitude toward e-learning and there was a significant correlation between variables e.g. computer skills, Internet skills, the number of training courses in the field of computers and the Internet with the attitude of students. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that two variables of Internet skills and the number of training courses in the field of Internet explained 38.8% of the attitude of students toward e-learning.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching and perceived educational justice and trust. The research methodology followed a descriptive correlational approach. The statistical population included all second grade students of smart schools in Isfahan during 2015–2016 (N=15, 000). According to Krejcie and Morgan table, 372 individuals were randomly selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. The instruments of the research were three questionnaires: A researcher made questionnaire focusing on ICT in teaching, including 15 items (a=0.89); a questionnaire focusing on the role of ICT (computer and Internet) in ensuring educational justice, with 40 items (a=0.92); and a researcher made questionnaire focusing on educational trust, with 20 items (a=0.94). The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and percent) and inferential statistics (Pearson’s correlation coefficient, the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test, one-sample t test, and multi-variable regression) through SPSS 20. The results revealed that the situation of ICT in teaching was above average, the situation of educational justice was slightly below average, and the situation of educational trust was also above average. Moreover, the results of the correlation coefficient revealed that there were positive and significant relationships between the use of ICT in teaching with educational justice and trust (P<0.05). The results of the multiple regressions revealed that the use of ICT in teaching and its dimensions can predict the level of educational justice and trust.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between emotions' control, distress tolerance and harmful use of cell phones among students of Payame Noor University of Tehran. The present study was descriptive-correlation. The statistical population of the study consisted of all graduate students of Payame Noor University of Tehran in 2014-15 academic year. The study sample consisted of 160 subjects selected by available sampling among students of Payame Noor University of East Tehran. Data were collected using harmful use of cell phones' test of Williams et al. (COS), emotions' control test (ECS) and distress tolerance scale of Simmons and Gahr (DTS). In order to test hypotheses, using SPSS software, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were used. Pearson's correlation results showed that emotions' control and its components, as well as distress tolerance had a significant negative relationship with excessive use of mobile phones by students. Also, the results of multiple regression showed that emotions' control and distress tolerance predict excessive use of cell phones among students. According to the findings it can be concluded that emotions' control and distress tolerance played an important role in predicting harmful use of cell phones by students. Therefore, educational authorities' special attention to the student stressors and strengthen positive aspects of their personality is recommended.
